Stampin’ Up! Love & Courage

Stampin’ Up! Love & Courage

The card I am sharing today was created using Stampin’ Up! Love & Courage Stamp Set.  I also used Stampin’ Up! Everyday Arches Stamp Set and Dies and Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder.

Card Cuts

  • Basic White cardstock
    • card base 4-1-/4″ x 11″ score at 5-1/2″
    • embossed piece — 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
    • inside piece — 4″ x 5-1/4″
    • arch art piece —  4″ x 5″
    • greeting — 1-1/4″ x 3″
  • Melon Mambo cardstock
    • front mat — 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
    • inside mat  — 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
    • arch on front — 4-1/4″ x 5″

Embossed the 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock using the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder.  Die cut the Melon Mambo and Basic White arches using the 2nd & 3rd largest dies from Everyday Arches Dies.  Stamp the sunflower image on the Basic White arch using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Love & Courage Stamp Set.  Stamp on the greeting on the 1-1/4″ x 3″ piece of Basic White cardstock using Melon Mambo ink.  Using a sponge dauber and Melon Mambo ink, gently daube the sponge dauber over the embossed sunflowers on the embossed panel.

Adhere the Melon Mambo cardstock piece and the embossed panel together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Adhere the two arches. Adhere the embossed sunflower piece to the Basic White base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.   Adhere the arches over the embossed sunflower piece.  Pop the greeting on using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Pop two Strawberry Slush and Pretty In Pink Gems on the greeting label.  Also, adhere the Melon Mambo die cut ribbon on the left side of the greeting.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Everyday Arches Stamp Set is stamped in Melon Mambo ink on a Basic White cardstock piece.  Stamp a ribbon in Melon Mambo ink in the lower right corner.

Stamp ribbons and hearts on the envelope flap and on the card front using stamps from Stampin’ Up! Love & Courage Stamp Set.

I am happy you stopped by today.  I hope you take the time to linger and look at my other blog posts and cards, and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my creations with you each day. I hope and wish you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Have a blessed day!

One of the perks of being a demonstrator is to pre-order before a new catalog launches, and the Online Exclusives we get to order before they are released to customers.  You will also be getting at least a 20% discount on purchases. If you love card-making as a hobby, you can still be a demonstrator and get that discount to help get more card-making items,  or you can be like I was and buy Stampin’ Up! products for 10 years before I became wise enough to become a demonstrator to get the discount.  When I think of all the stamping products that 20% would have brought over those 10 years, I cringe.

Stampin’ Up! Silly Safari

Finally, well enough again, to attempt a card.

The card I am sharing is a fun fold but I do not know what the fun fold is called.  I made this for a great-grandson’s 4th birthday.

Card Cuts:

  • Basic White cardstock
    • card base — 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″  score at 4-1/4″
    • card front background layer — 4″ x 5-1/4″
    • art piece card front — 1-3/4″ x 2-3/4″
    • inside art piece — 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″
    • pop-out mechanism 1-1/2″ x 4-1/4″  scoring at 3/4″, 2-1/4″ and 3-3/4″
  • Daffodil Delight cardstock
    • mat for front art piece — 2″ x 3″
    • mat for inside art piece  — 2-3/4″ x 5-1/2″
  • Old Olive cardstock
    • mat for art piece card front — 2-1/4″ x 3-1/4″
  • Balmy Blue cardstock
    • greeting card front — 1/2″ x 2″
  • Window Sheet  — 2 strips –3/8″ x 3″
  • Beautiful Boken Designer Series Paper
    • envelope flap — 2-1/4″ x 6″

Stamp the monkey image from Stampin’ Up! Silly Safari Stamp Set on the 1-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock using Memento Black Ink.  On another piece of Basic White, you can stamp the tiger and giraffe.  Stamp the giraffe on the” x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.  Stamp the zebra on the 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White piece.  You can see the placement in the picture.  Color the tiger, monkey, and giraffe using Ivory, Peacan Pie, Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends.  After coloring, fussy each animal.

Using stamps from Stampin’ Up! Silly Safari Stamp set, stamp the leaves around one of the 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel of Basic White card stock.  The other two are used to stamp the inside panels.  Doing this creates your own personal designer series paper.  Adhere the panels to the card base, both the front and the inside, as shown in the photo.  Adhere the Daffodil Delight cardstock piece and the Old Olive cardstock piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The monkey and tiger are adhered to the mechanism that is hidden behind the panel with the zebra.  Adhere them before adhering the zebra panel over the mechanism.  Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, pop the giraffe on the left side of the inside.  Watch Dawn at the Glitter Pit make the mechanism here.

On the piece of Beautiful Boken Designer Series Paper, stamp the monkey, tiger, and zebra in Memento Black ink.  Adhere the piece to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Floral Delight — Fun Fold

Stampin’ Up! Floral Delight — Fun Fold

My first card since December 6, 2024 because of severe neck and back problems.  This is really not my card. I have a friend who wanted to make this card as I had sent her one.  If you are interested in making this card you can see the instructions in my last post, December 06, 2024.   I will be so happy when I can make cards once again.

She used the Stampin’ Up! Floral Delight Suite in making this.  She also used Stampin’ Up! Beach Day and Frosted Forest Stamp Sets.

It has been a chore to type this. I did not realize typing could make your neck hurt also. Hopefully,  I will be well soon and will be able to return.  Maybe I can get my friend to come again and make me a card.  I can tell her what to make.

I am happy you stopped by today.  I hope you take the time to linger and look at my other blog posts and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Frosted Forest

Stampin’ Up! Frosted Forest

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Frosted Forest Stamp Set and Die.  This set got lost on my shelf and I have not used it very much, but it is such a versatile stamp set, good for birthdays for anyone and will make a lovely Christmas card.  Today I am using it as a birthday card.  This card is a Fun Fold Side Step card. I have made this card design many times but for some reason, I kept putting the pieces in the incorrect order.  I persevered and here it is finished.

Challenge for this card: Creative Crease Fun Fold Challenge

Cardstock Cuts for this Project:

Basic White Cardstock

  • card base — 5 1/2″ x 8″ scored and folded at 3″, 6″ and 7″
  • side-step base — 3″ x 6″ scored and folded at 4 1/4″
  • inside panel – 2-7/8” x 5 -1/4”
  • stamped trees and die-cut trees – 4-1/2” x 5-1/2”

Lost Lagoon Cardstock

  • mat for front – 2-7/8″ x 5-3/8″
  • small front panel at the bottom of the card – 7/8″ x 5-3/8″
  • mat for front of side-step panel – 2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″

Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper

  • front of main card base – 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″
  • smallest front panel at the bottom of the card – 3/4″ x 5 -1/4″
  • front of side-step panel — 2- 3/4″ x 4″

This is a picture of the card cuts for each piece needed to create the card.  If you only want the design, substitute your cardstock color and designer series paper for the ones used here.

This is a diagram of where to score and fold the two pieces that create the step card.

I used Liquid Glue for all the pieces but used dimensional to adhere the large tree to the left side of the tree and Glue Dots for the small tree on the right side.

  1.  Score and fold the two pieces of Basic White cardstock.  The 3″ x 6″ piece will be your sidestep.
  2. Adhere the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper measuring 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″ to the Lost Lagoon mat measuring 2-7/8″ x 5-3/8″ using the adhesive of choice.
  3. Adhere the above piece to the main card base you can see the photo above.
  4. Adhere the Nest Of Winter Designer Series Paper measuring  2-3/4″ x 4″ to the 2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″  piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock using the adhesive of choice.
  5. Using the adhesive of choice, adhere the matted piece to the front side – step. The step is the one with the large tree.
  6.  Stamp your greeting on the piece measuring 3/4″ x 5-1/4″ of Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper then adhere to the Lost Lagoon piece measuring 7/8″ x 5-3/8″ using the adhesive of choice.
  7.  Stamp in Shaded Spruce ink a tree from Stampin’ Up! Frosted Forest Stamp Set on a piece of Basic White cardstock.
  8. Using the mask that comes with the stamp set use Lost Lagoon and Old Olive ink and a Blending Brush to finish coloring the tree.
  9. Die cut from a piece of  Nest Of Winter Designer Series Paper a small tree.  Also, die cut three more from Basic White cardstock.
  10. Adhere all the small trees together using the adhesive of choice.  I used Adhesive Sheets since the trees were so intricate.
  11. Using the adhesive of choice on the bottom 1″ of the side-step piece, adhere it to the narrow bottom strip that is 1″.  Be sure to align with the bottom of the card base.
  12.  Close the card base and using the adhesive of choice adhere the smaller portion of the panel which is below the score line to the back of the main card base, this will create the side-step panel.
  13. Adhere the large tree to the left side of the card which is the step panel using the adhesive of choice.
  14. Adhere the die-cut tree to the right side of the card front using Glue Dots.  I rolled them really small so I could get them on the tiny spots of the tree.
  15. Adhere the greeting strip across the bottom of the card base.  See picture.
  16.   Stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Frosted Forest in Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.
  17. Stamp a tree from the same stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink in the lower right corner.
  18. Drag the Lost Lagoon stamp pad around the edges of the Basic White panel.
  19. Add gems from Tinsel Three Pack and Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels around the card front

A Basic White envelope gets trees from Stampin’ Up! Frosted Forest stamp set stamped on the envelope flap in
