Cards for Christmas
Ever had one of those days “Where do I start?” Your mind is going faster than you can work it out! I’ve had several of those lately with this vision problem, coming and going.
I believe there are two or three challenges I can enter these cards in.
For the first card with the Christmas ornaments, I will play along with Word Art Wednesday Challenge
For the second card with the Three Trees I will play along with the Global Design Project
The first card, I started with a Real Red card base and layered a panel of Whisper White that I had embossed using the Holly Textured Embossing Folder that is now retired. You could use any embossing folder of your choice. I only embossed a portion of the card so I would have room for a greeting on the side.
I cut a strip of Pacific Point cardstock and die cut it using an Edgelits Die from Stampin Up. I adhered this to the edge of the Whisper White panel. Over the Holly embossed portion of the panel I adhered the stripe of ornaments, I had cut using the die or it and running it through the Big Shot. Again, someone gave me this in a box of Stampin Up stamps, so not being in an envelope or case, I do not know the name or the maker of it.
For the inside sentiment, I also die cut a strip of Pacific Point with the Lace Edgelits and adhered to the Whisper White panel for the sentiment. I did this on both sides as I put a sentiment on both inside panels. The stamps I used for the greeting are from my box of free stamps, so have no idea the maker. Could be Stampin Up as I have a stamp set from Stampin Up with the Three Wise Men.
Second Card- A base of Whisper White Cut 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2. Over this I adhered a panel from the Twinkle Twinkle DSP cut 4 x 3-1/2. I cut a stripe of Whisper White and made it look like snow banks on one side.
I adhered this to the Twinkle Twinkle DSP. As my Winter Woods Stamp Set from 2018 Holiday Catalog has not arrived, I used an old die for the trees. I popped these over the Twinkle Twinkle DSP using Stamping Dimensionals and Mini Stampin Dimensionals. The Merry Christmas is from the Blended Seasons Stamps set (available until August 31, so get this set while you can, it is a very versatile stamp set.)
The inside panel for the sentiment is bordered with a strip of the Twinkle Twinkle DSP. The white panel is die cut with the Delicate Lace Edgelits. I listed the Winter Woods Stamp Bundle for the trees and the tree die I used is no longer available and there is a tree die in the Winter Woods Stamp Bundle.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you liked my cards.
