Stampin’ Up! Silly Safari

Stampin’ Up! Silly Safari

Finally, well enough again, to attempt a card.

The card I am sharing is a fun fold but I do not know what the fun fold is called.  I made this for a great-grandson’s 4th birthday.

Card Cuts:

  • Basic White cardstock
    • card base — 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″  score at 4-1/4″
    • card front background layer — 4″ x 5-1/4″
    • art piece card front — 1-3/4″ x 2-3/4″
    • inside art piece — 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″
    • pop-out mechanism 1-1/2″ x 4-1/4″  scoring at 3/4″, 2-1/4″ and 3-3/4″
  • Daffodil Delight cardstock
    • mat for front art piece — 2″ x 3″
    • mat for inside art piece  — 2-3/4″ x 5-1/2″
  • Old Olive cardstock
    • mat for art piece card front — 2-1/4″ x 3-1/4″
  • Balmy Blue cardstock
    • greeting card front — 1/2″ x 2″
  • Window Sheet  — 2 strips –3/8″ x 3″
  • Beautiful Boken Designer Series Paper
    • envelope flap — 2-1/4″ x 6″

Stamp the monkey image from Stampin’ Up! Silly Safari Stamp Set on the 1-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock using Memento Black Ink.  On another piece of Basic White, you can stamp the tiger and giraffe.  Stamp the giraffe on the” x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.  Stamp the zebra on the 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White piece.  You can see the placement in the picture.  Color the tiger, monkey, and giraffe using Ivory, Peacan Pie, Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends.  After coloring, fussy each animal.

Using stamps from Stampin’ Up! Silly Safari Stamp set, stamp the leaves around one of the 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel of Basic White card stock.  The other two are used to stamp the inside panels.  Doing this creates your own personal designer series paper.  Adhere the panels to the card base, both the front and the inside, as shown in the photo.  Adhere the Daffodil Delight cardstock piece and the Old Olive cardstock piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The monkey and tiger are adhered to the mechanism that is hidden behind the panel with the zebra.  Adhere them before adhering the zebra panel over the mechanism.  Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, pop the giraffe on the left side of the inside.  Watch Dawn at the Glitter Pit make the mechanism here.

On the piece of Beautiful Boken Designer Series Paper, stamp the monkey, tiger, and zebra in Memento Black ink.  Adhere the piece to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I am happy you stopped by today.  I hope you take the time to linger and look at my other blog posts and cards, and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my creations with you each day. I hope and wish you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Full of Charm

Stampin’ Up! Full of Charm

This card is created using elements from the June 2025 Paper Pumpkin Full of Charm, Stampin’ Up! Charming Day Stamp Set, and Stampin’ Up! You Are Remarkable Stamp Set

Card Cuts

  • Pretty Peacock cardstock
    • card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″
  • Early Espresso cardstock
    • mat — 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
  • Crumb Cake cardstock
    • art piece — 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Basic White cardstock
    • inside panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″

The Greeting is from Stampin’ Up! You Are Remarkable Stamp Set.  It is stamped in Early Espresso ink.  To create the flowers on the left side, one of the elements of the Paper Pumpkin Kit is used as a stencil to create the flowers with Early Espresso ink.  The ribbon is a length of ribbon cut into 4 strips with Linen Thread added, then wrapped around the card and tied in a knot.

Used Crumb Cake ink to sponge around the corners, but it looks more greenish than brown.  Sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Charming Day Stamp Set.

A Basic White envelope gets flowers from Stampin’ Up! Charming Day Stamp Set stamped on the envelope flap.  The flowers are colored using Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.

Stampin’ Up! Classic Wedding

Stampin’ Up! Classic Wedding

This is the card I made for our grandson’s wedding a few weeks ago.  I just haven’t gotten around to posting it.  This Stampin’ Up! Classic Wedding Stamp Set and Dies are compliments of Amy Koenders.

As you can see, this is a fun fold.

Card Cuts:

  • Basic White cardstock
    • card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″
    • embossed panels (2) 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
    • car — 4-1/4′ x 5-1/2″
  • Pretty In Pink cardstock
    • scrap for hearts
  • Silver Foil
    • bumper, back window frame, tail lights, & trunk latch
  1. Using Smoky Slate ink, stamp the car image on a piece of Basic White cardstock.
  2. Stamp the greeting on a piece of Basic White cardstock, then die cut using a die from Classic Wedding Dies.
  3. Color the tires using Basic Gray Stampin’ Blends.
  4. Using Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends, color the car.
  5. Die-cut all the pieces shown on the card using dies from Classic Wedding Dies.
  6. Emboss the two Basic White panels using Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
  7. Adhere with Multipurpose Glue the two embossed panels, one on the card front, the other on the inside of the card.
  8. Pop the card on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  9. Adhere all the little pieces you see on the card front to the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  10. Using a black felt pen, draw the tire tracks behind the wheels.

Since it has been over a month since I made this card, I do not remember the Stamp Set for the greeting.  The one that is at the bottom for the stop for the card when it is made into an easel is from Stampin’ Up! Classic Wedding Stamp Set.  Hearts are adhered down each side of the card.

The flap of a Basic White envelope gets embossed using Glass and Garden 3D Embossing Folder.

I am happy you stopped by today.  I hope you take the time to linger and look at my other blog posts and cards, and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Sunflowers

Stampin’ Up! Sunflowers

I am using the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder to create this card.  I have several others I will be finishing over the coming days, hopefully. There are several videos out on YouTube that demonstrate this technique.

I embossed a piece of Basic White cardstock using the embossing folder.  I colored the debossed side using Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, and Pecan Pie inks.

The debossed colored panel is matted to a Highland Heather piece of cardstock, then adhered to the Gorgeous Grape cardstock cardbase. A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Frames Stamp Set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a Basic White scrap.  The greeting is adhered over a few loops of twine using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A flower from Stampin’ Up! You Are Remarkable Stamp Set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a panel of Basic White cardstock and colored using Highland Heather and Granny Apple Stampin’ Blends. A stamp from the same stamp set is used to stamp a sentiment beside the flower.  This leaves room at the top of the panel to write a message or sign your name. The panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White envelope lap gets embossed using the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder.

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Gallery

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Gallery

I have never created a bay window card, as I always thought they looked hard to make.  I was surprised at the ease of it after seeing a video by Lisa Bernard, Queen B Creations.  What caught my attention was that I needed a sympathy card, and the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper she was using, I thought, would make a great sympathy card. I ended up using a different pattern after looking through the pack of beautiful papers.

As you look at the photo above, you can see there are five panels with Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper.  There is a tiny 1/4″ that is hidden as it is tucked under the tree on the right side.  You will be able to see that better later on.  In giving the card cuts for this card, I numbered the panels 1-5, starting on the left side and going across.  As you cut the pieces, lay the design out as you see it, so when you adhere the pieces, you will not lose the flow of the design on the paper.

Cut the panel of Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper 4″ x 5-1/4″

Smoky Slate cardstock

  • card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″  score at 1/4″, 1-1/2″, 3-1/4″, 4-1/4″, 5-1/2″
  • 1 panel
    • Basic Black mat – 7/8” x 4-1/8”
    • Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper – ¾” x 4”
  • #2 panel
    • Basic Black mat – 1-1/8” x 4-1/8”
    • Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper – 1” x 4”
  • #3 panel
    • Basic Black mat – 1-5/8” x 4-1/8”
    • Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper – 1-1/2” x 4”
  • #4 panel
    • Repeat #2 panel for this panel
  • #5 panel
    • Repeat #1 panel for this panel  —  this panel is the stopper for the left edge of the card to tuck under to form the bay window.
  • Inside
    • Basic Black cardstock mat – 3-3/4” x 4-1/8”
    • Basic White cardstock — 3-1/4” x 4”

If you choose to make this card without mats, use the mat sizes to cut the designer series paper

Two panels of a different design of Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper are adhered to Basic Black mats, then adhered to the card base.       A stamp from Stampin’ Up! Painted Lavender Stamp Set is used to stamp the sprigs of leaves on the inside panels in Memento Black ink.  Sentiments from Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Love Stamp Set is stamped on the larger inside panel.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using  Multipurpose Glue.
