Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic Birthday Card

Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic Birthday Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the gorgeous, I think my favorite, Textured Chic Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic stamp set, Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set, Chic Dies, and Cottage Flower Dies.

My card was inspired by a great sketch from a Hand Stamped Sentiment Challenge.

To create this card I’ve used Pool Party cardstock for the card base, layered with Evening Evergreen card stock as the mat and the Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper, as the background panel. I love the colors and the gold foil that make this Designer Series Paper so beautiful. I even used some of the Designer Series Paper for the strips on the card front.

Using dies from Chic Dies and Cottage Flower Dies I cropped flower and leaf outlines from the Distress Gold Specialty Paper.  It makes for beautiful flowers and leaves.  I adhered one leaf outline to a piece of Evening Evergreen card stock. I also adhered one of the flower outlines to a piece of the Textured Chic Designer Series Paper.  I fussy cut both.  A panel of Evening Evergreen card stock is cut to use as the mat for the Textured Chic Designer Series Paper strips.  They are adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A square is cropped using a die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  The flowers and leaves are arranged on the square using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and fussy cut.

Strips of Textured Chic Designer Series Paper are cut and adhered to a Basic White card stop panel.  The panel is matted on an Evening Evergreen card stock mat.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Textured Chic Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Fond of Autumn

Stampin’ Up! Fond of Autumn

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Fond of Autumn stamp set, Flowering Tulips stamp set, Autumn Bouquet Dies, Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder, and Wonderful World Designer Series Paper.

I am joining the As You See It Challenge as one of my challenges for the day.  I love their theme for this week as it includes one of my favorites, watercoloring.

I am also entering the Tic Tac Toe Challenge — I chose Die Cut, Free, and Embossing.

I started with a Basic White card base with a panel of the same embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

Flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Fond of Autumn Stamp Set is stamped in Stazon Ink on a Basic White panel, dried with the heat tool to make sure the ink would not smear during watercoloring the flowers.  I use Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Old Olive, Poppy Parade,  Soft Suede stamp pads for the ink. I used a Stampin’ Block to put ink on and a water painter as the brush.  Two of the flowers and the berries are colored using Poppy Parade ink, though they are different colors.  One of the flowers is colored using Crush Curry ink.  The leaves are colored using Old Olive and Garden Green ink.  The acorns are colored using Crumb Cake and Soft Suede ink.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Fond of Autumn stamp set is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and cropped with a die from the Autumn Bouquet Dies.  A strip of Wonderful World Designer Series Paper is cut.  Now all the elements are ready for assembly.  They are adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A length of Crumb Cake Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack is adhered behind the greeting and the greeting is then popped on using Stampin’ DimensionalsRhinestone Basic Jewels are colored using a Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker and popped around the card front.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Flowers like the ones on the card front are adhered in the corner using Multipurpose Glue and the panel is then adhered to the card base.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Wonderful World Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose Double Pillar Card

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose Double Pillar Card

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums stamp set for the greeting.

My challenge for today is with Allsorts Challenge  — their theme for this challenge is make your own background and I made my own by stamping Mossy Meadow leaves on a panel of Sun Prints Designer Series Paper.

The card base is a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/4″ Pear Pizzazz card stock.  On the long side score at 3/8″ 7/8″ 1-3/8″ and 1-7/8, 6-3/8″, 6-7/8″, 7-3/8″ and 7-7/8″.  Turn on the short side and cut at 2″.  This will become the second pillar that creates the bridge.  Fold on each score line and burnish with your bone folder.  On the 3/8″ score fold add Multipurpose Liquid Glue, folding at the second scored line fold down to the card base.  This will create the pillar.

A panel of Sun Prints Designer Series Paper is stamped with a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set using Mossy Meadow ink.  Put it aside to be adhered later.  Flowers are fussy cut from a panel of Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper and colored using Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Two flower pots are stamped using stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Potted Geranium stamp set using Soft Suede ink.  They are cropped using a die from Geranium Dies.  They will be popped on the bridge using Stampin’ Dimensionals after the flowers are added to the pots.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and cropped with a die from Geranium Dies.

Cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel of Sun Prints Designer Series Paper.  Using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set and Mossy Meadow ink, stamp the leaves randomly around the panel after you stamp the sentiment.  Adhere the panel to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Sun PrintsDesigner Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World Thinking of You

I started out making a card with the Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums stamp set, but there was a flaw in two of the stamps and they would not take the ink so up pops Lisa’s card, what a blessing.

So, the card I am sharing today is created using the Wonderful World DSP, too bad it will retire on August 31 for many but I will continue to use mine, just not blog it.  This card is a CAS(E) of Lisa Bernard’s card.  It popped up in my feed so I had to check it out and here it is.

I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge for today.

Start with a Highland Heather card stock card base.  This is a landscape card and also a fun fold.  I believe Lisa called it a Spanner card.  Score and fold the card.  Cut 1-1/4″ in from each side of the card front.  A window sheet will be adhered to these two pieces to give you a see-through effect.   The middle section becomes part of the fun fold.  The window sheet is 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.

Fussy cut the Iris from the panel of Wonderful World Designer Series Paper.  It will be popped on the card front after all the other pieces are adhered.

Cut six mats 1-1/8″ x 4-1/8″ from Old Olive card stock.  Adhered to the 1-1/4″ strips on each side and on the inside.  You can see the diagram above of how the card looks inside.  Cut two mats 2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″, one for the middle section and the other for the inside sentiment panel.

Cut the following pieces from  Regal 6″ x 6″  Designer Series Paper. Cut six 1″ x 4″ strips. Adhere over Old Olive card stock. Cut a 2-3/4″ x 4″ piece of Highland Heather from the Subtle 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink, fussy cut, and cut the two lines apart.  Pop the top part of the greeting at the top of the card front and the other half at the bottom of the middle panel. Adhere the Iris to the card front. Pop three Pearl Basic Jewels colored with a Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Marker.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and the panel is adhered to the Old Olive mat and then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  One of the small Iris from the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper is fussy cut and adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Regal 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Have a blessed day!
