Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Merry Christmas

Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly Merry Christmas

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly stamp set along with the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.

I am entering the Krafty Chicks Challenge as their theme for this challenge is Christmas.

I am also entering the Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge.

Start with a Cherry Cobbler card stock card base, cut 4-1/4″ x 9-1/2″.  Score at 1″ & 2″ on each end.  See diagram above.

Using paper snips, clip from the edge of the score line to the cut you made at the 1/2″ line.  Fold and score each end of the card base.  One will be a mountain fold the other a valley fold.

Cut 2 pieces 3″ x 3-1/8″. Score at 1″ and 2″   Fold this as mountain and valley.  This is the hinge that adheres to the card base on each end that the Designer Series Paper panels fit on.

Lisa Curcio gives a great tutorial video on YouTube for this card.  You can view it for more instructions.

These are the pieces that create the accordion.  These are pieces that are cut for another card. I forgot to take a picture of the pieces cut for this card, but they are the same sizes.

This is how the card looks once all the panels are adhered.  A panel of Evening Evergreen card stock is the mat for the Basic White card stock panel with the Real Red Merry Christmas stamped on it using Real Red ink.

This is the back of the card with a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hope & Peace stamp set.  It is stamped in Real Red ink on the Basic White card stock panel.  A poinsettia is fussy cut from a piece of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and popped on the Basic White card stock square.

A strip of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper is cut to create the belly band.  It is embossed using the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.  A piece of Basic White card stock is cropped using a square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  The piece is matted on a square of Evening Evergreen card stock. A Red Rhinestone Basic Jewel is popped on the corner of the Basic White square.

The belly band is then slid over the folder card.

This is how the card looks without the belly band.

A panel of Boughs of Holly Designer Series paper is adhered to a Basic White Medium Envelope flap.

I feel like a genius,  I started to post my blog last night and there was a big problem, part of the blog was missing, I worked for a while but decided to resume the process today. It had been so long since I created my blog, that it took me all day to figure out how to find what was missing and get it reactivated. It was such a great day, I clicked on a link when asking how to do things in searh, and guess what — a virus that froze my computer popped up and said if I closed my computer all my content would be destroyed.  I called Geek Squad and in 2 minutes the tech had it repaired.  He even told me what to do if that happened again.  Something very simple that I will be sure to remember.

So I hope your day was much better than the one I had.  Be careful where you click.

Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove Celebrate

Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove Celebrate

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Grove Dies and Stampin’ Up! Graceful Tiles stamp set.  I also used a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship stamp set.

My card base is So Saffron card stock.  From a panel of Basic White card stock, the tree scene is cropped using a die from Grove Dies.  It is then colored using the baby wipe technique where you drop different colors of re-inkers onto the baby wipe making your stamp pad.  I used one of the bush stamps from Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship stamp set to apply the ink.

The tree trunks are colored using a Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker.  The grass is colored using Old Olive ink and a Blending Brush.  The deer are cropped using dies from the Stampin’ Up! Grove Dies and colored using Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Graceful Tiles stamp set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on the bottom of the card front in the grassy area. The trees are then popped on a panel of Balmy Blue Designer Series Paper that is retired using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  This gives the appearance of sky behind the tree scene. of  A dot from the Brushed Metallic Dots is popped by the greeting and one up in the sky by at the tree area.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Graceful Tiles stamp set stamped in Mossy Meadow ink.   I bought this stamp set as it has some really great greetings and sentiments. Leaves are stamped down the side of the panel using the baby wipe stamp created earlier.

Basic White envelope gets a panel of Pumpin Pie Designer Series Paper from Regal 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts with Brilliant Wings

Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts with Brilliant Wings

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Brilliant Wings Dies and Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set.  This is the type card you never want to send but need to have a few on hand just in case there is an occasion where you need one.

I am entering the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.

I started with a Basic White card stock card base with a panel of Basic White card stock cropped using the largest Deckled Rectangle Dies then embossed using the Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink in the upper left corner of the embossed panel.  Three strips of Textured Chic Designer Series Paper are adhered across the bottom of the embossed panel and the panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A butterfly is cropped from Basic White card stock using a die from Brilliant Wings Dies.  The butterfly is colored using a Blending Brush and Pool Party ink.  It is brushed lightly to give just a faint tint.  The wings are then pressed against the Versa Mark ink pad and Gold Embossing Powder is sprinkled on the butterfly and heat embossed using a heat tool.  It is then popped over the three strips using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A panel of Basic White card stock is cropped using the largest of the Deckled Rectangle Dies, the panel is then embossed using the Painted Posie 3D Embossing Folder.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink onto the panel.

A Basic White envelope gets the flap embossed using the Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbird It’s Your Special Day

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbird It’s Your Special Day

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set and the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds stamp set, along with using envelopes from the August 2022 Paper Pumpkin Sweet Sunflowers Kit.

One of my challenges for today is the Festive Friday Challenge.  I choose Purple, Red, and Flower as my three.

Another challenge I am entering is the Seize the Birthday Challenge–Anything Goes

I started with a card base of Mossy Meadow card stock.

  • The card base is 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″.
  • Fold as a mountain fold at the 2-1/8″ score line and a valley fold at the 4-1/4″ score line.
  • Cut two pieces 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″ from one of the Sweet Sunflowers envelopes to create your Designer Paper.
  • Adhere the two pieces to the 2-1/8″ panels using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Cut mats for the diamond-shaped piece, which is actually a 1-7/8″ x 1-7/8″ square that will be positioned as a diamond when adhered to the 2-1/8″ panel
  • Cut two pieces 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ from a Sweet Sunflowers envelope to create your Designer Series Paper.
  • Adhered the Designer Series Paper to the Mossy Meadow mats.
  • Cut a Mossy Meadow card stock mat 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″.  This is for the large diamond inside.
  • Cut a piece of the Sweet Sunflowers envelope 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″.
  • Adhere this piece to the Mossy Meadow mat.

  • To create the little box hinge that the large diamond adhered to cut a 1-1/2″ x 3″ piece of Mossy Meadow card stock.  Score at 3/4″, 1-1/2″, and 2-1/4″. You can see the box hinge in the picture above.
  • Adhere one end of the hinge on one side of the score line and the other end on the other side of the score line.  Do not adhere directly on the score line. Look at the picture above a good place to adhere would be at the edge of the Designer Series Paper.  This will create the box.  You can see in the diagram above.
  • Score the large square that will become the inside diamond on one point at 5/8″.  Fold and burnish well at score line.  Place Tear & Tape on this folded piece and adhere to the box.
  • The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbird stamp set. It is stamped in Blackberry Bliss in
  • This is how it looks when it is opened after the inside diamond is in place.  The greeting is from Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds stamp set.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel created from one of the Sweet Sunflower envelope flaps applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
