Stampin with Shirley G

It is TGIF for all of us!  There used to be a restaurant here called that when I still worked at the school system, but it has ended up being called just Friday’s.  Teachers gathered there after school on Friday.

My card today features Stampin’ Up! Best Dressed Designer Series Paper(DSP) and the Stampin’ Up! Very Versatile Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up! Verdant Garden Stamp Set.

The House That Stamps Built — What If? — Wednesday Sketch Challenge is my challenge for the day.

Start with a card base of Stampin’ Up! Purple Posy card stock and add a background panel of Stampin’ Up! Best Dressed Designer Series Paper.  To this background panel, add on the left side, a narrow panel which is the reverse side of the background panel and matted on a Stampin’ Up! Petal Pink card stock panel.  

Add another narrow matted panel on the right side which is also from the Best Dressed DSP. Over these two narrow panels adds two mats for the art piece that have been cropped from Petal Pink and Purple Posy card stock using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Adhere these together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then pop over the two narrow panels.  To the top of the Purple Posy panel add the three hearts that have been cropped using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Be Mine Dies.  Two of the hearts are embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder just as the Stitched So Sweet panel has been.

The greet “LOVE” is from the Stampin’ Up!  Verdant Garden Stamp Set and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock ink on a scrap of Petal Pink card stock and then fussy cut around the word.  Several sequins from Stampin’ Up! Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins are randomly placed on the card front. A tiny Whisper White Twine bow is added to the top heart.

The sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock and adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A little collage of flowers are fussy cut from the Best Dressed DSP and adhered to the panel.
