Stampin with Shirley G

Good morning stampers and non-stamper, blog lovers and all.  We’re headed toward the weekend, just a day away, can you believe–seems it was just here.  Why is time flying so fast?

The card for today features the Stampin’ Up! Born To Shine Stamp Set for the artwork and Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat for the sentiment.

The inspiration for the design comes from the Stella Says Sketch SSS 805

And…

Addicted To Stamps — Photo Inspiration.  The ballerinas are like tulips swaying in the breeze.

Start with a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock base. Add a layer of Stampin’ Up! See A Silouhette Designer Series Paper for the background. To the left side crop a small panel of Whisper White card stock with a die from the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Be Mine Dies, punch a strip of the See A Silhouette DSP using the Braided Border Punch.  Adhere this piece to the opposite side of the Whisper White panel that was cropped.  Adhere the Whisper White panel to the background panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue as you did the other pieces adhered.

Using Tuxedo Memento Black ink stamp the ballerinas from the Stampin’ Up! Born To Shine Stamp Set on a panel of Whisper White.  To get both of the end ballerinas pointing to the one in the middle, reverse (I guess that what it is called, I do anyway) stamping is used.  Stamp the spray of stars also.  Color the ballerinas using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Markers in  Light & Dark Rococo Rose, Call Me Glover, Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral, Mango Melody, and Crumb Cake. Cut out sections of the Whisper White panel for the background to show through.  

Pop the art piece onto the background panel using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The greeting is also from the Born To Shine Stamp Set and is stamped on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and fussy cut to the shape of the greeting.  It is then popped on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Scatter Stampin’ Up! Basic Rhinestone Jewels around the card front.

A panel of See A Silhouette DSP is adhered inside to the card base and an art piece and sentiment are adhered over the panel.  The sentiment panel is cropped using a die from the Stampin’ Up! Stitched So Sweetly Dies. The sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink.

A Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope gets a panel of the See A Silhouette DSP added to the panel.
