Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony Thinking of You

Good Morning all, this was supposed to be yesterday’s card but I kept having computer issues since Tuesday evening and was ready to give up on getting to post.  Whatever it was cleared itself up.

The card I am sharing today is a combination of several stamp sets.  Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony Stamp Set for the main flowers, Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set for the flowers on the background along with the Very Versailles Stamp Set. Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set and Pansy Patch Stamp Set are the greeting and sentiment.

Inspiration for this challenge comes from the Hand Stamp Sentiment Challenge.  I chose the pink colors for my inspiration.

To start, I colored a panel of Basic White card stock using Polished Pink ink and a Blending Brush.  After coloring  I  cut the panel in half, embossing the panel using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  Next using Smoky Slate and Mint Macaron inks the Very Versailles Stamp Set and the Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set were stamped on half of a panel of Basic White card stock.  The embossed Polished Pink panel is adhered to the other half of the panel.  Amazing how light the Polished Pink can be when applied lightly to Basic White ard stock.

The peonies were stamped using Tuxedo Memento Black ink stamped off once so it would be lighter and not show up too strong.  I wish I had taken a picture of the main peony so the color of it would have shown how it changed in color also.  After I finished coloring the one at the bottom of the card front, I thought O’, I am going to have to stamp another peony and color it because this one is too orangey and yellow.  Look at the first frame at the top.  See how orangey looks.  The next one is after it had dried for a few hours, I had heard in a video can’t remember who did the video that colors changed once dried,  believe me, it has.  You can see the difference in each frame of the pictures.  I used Polished Pink  and Granny Apple Green ink to color the peonies and leaves.

After the coloring and drying the peonies are arranged over the embossed panel matted on a panel of Melon Mambo card stock.  2021-2023 In Color Jewels are randomly placed around the card front.

The Basic White card stock sentiment panel is matted on a panel of Melon Mambo as the one on the card front.  A sentiment from the Inspired Thoughts and Pansy Petals Stamp Sets is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  The peony is colored using the Polished Pink and Granny Apple Green ink.  Notice the pink color of this one.  Seems that no two can be the same color.  The center of the peony is So Saffron ink.

A Basic White medium envelope is embossed using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder as is the Melon Mambo panel that is the mat for the art piece.  Using a Blending Brush, Polished Pink ink is brushed over the embossed flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

I started with a card base of Misty Moonlight card stock with a panel of the same embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

A panel of Real Red card stock is cut for the mat of the Sweet Symmetry DSP panel. They are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Three different small pieces are cut with the Real Red one being embossed also with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.   The Basic White piece has Thank you from the Stampin’ Up! A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Stamp Set is stamped on a panel of Basic White card stock using Real Red ink.  Pieces of the same from the card front are adhered under the sentiment.  Opal Rounds are popped around the sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow Thinking of You

Happy day after the July 4th Independence Day Celebration.  I hope everyone had fun–and food–fun with family and friends.  As for me, my heart and BP kept me great company.  I had to call my doctor and he was getting ready to run the Peachtree Road Race.  I’m surprised he heard the phone with all the noise I could hear in the background.  Happy I have a doctor, I can call any time, anywhere on his cell phone and he answers.  Called him once and he was in Peru.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow Stamp Bundle along with a die from the Ornate Layers Dies.

My challenge for today is with The Sisterhood of Crafter — their theme for this challenge is Anything Goes.

I started with a Basic White card stock base.  A panel of black and white strips is matted on a panel of Crushed Curry card stock and adhered to one side of the card front.  A panel of Basic White card stock is cropped using one of the Ornate Layers Dies, then adhered over the black and white panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A flower is cropped from Basic White card stock using the Meadow Dies. The top part of the die is used to crop the flowers from a piece of the Ombre Specialty paper, it is adhered over the Basic White flowers.  The stem and leaves are colored using a Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Marker.

Black Mat Dots are popped on the center of the flowers and around the Basic White ornate panel after the flowers are adhered to the panel.  The greeting is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a small rectangle of Basic White card stock and tucked under the Ornate panel.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set.  They are colored using So Saffron and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Pansy Dies Hello You Card

Stampin’ Up! Pansy Dies Hello You Card

Happy 4th of July weekend.  Do you have fun plans — picnic with lemonade, potato salad, fried chicken, strawberry cake, and watermelon.  Growing up this was our typical 4th menu.  The watermelon went in the creek to get cold while we ate lunch, later in the afternoon you got the watermelon which was always such a treat as a kid. Of course no ice for the lemonade, so when I order lemonade at Chick-Fil-A — no ice–now days, Chick-Fil-A can provide the chicken and lemonade, Publix the potato salad, and watermelon.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Pansy Dies and a greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer Stamp Set.

My inspiration is the sketch from the Fusion Card Challenge.

My card base is Soft Succulent card stock with a panel of the Evening Evergreen adhered to the base to become the mat for the Soft Succulent check panel. Also, cut another panel from a different DSP to create the banner across the top of the check pieces.

Crop pansy petals and leaves from a panel of Thick Basic White card stock.  Color using a blending brush and Pale Papya ink and Evening Evergreen ink.  Use Calypso Coral to outline the edges of the petals.  Color the center of the pansy using a Black Stampin’ Blends Marker.

Another pansy is cropped and colored for the inside panel on which the note will be written.  It can be a birthday note for happy birthday, thinking of you, anniversary, sympathy, or whatever kind of note you want.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Friendship

Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Friendship

Happy Friday, I think I just realized that I was a day ahead when I posted Thursday’s post.  I was thinking today was Friday and it seemed that way all day.  Do you have fun plans to celebrate July 4th?  Do you and your family always go watch the fireworks? Fireworks are ok, but terrify babies, small children and dogs.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Friends of Friendship Stamp Set along with the Beauty of Friendship for the greeting and one of the sentiments.  The other sentiment comes from the Stampin’ Up! Better Places Stamp Set.  My card is a CAS(E) of one Amy Koender created.

My design for this challenge comes from the Paper Players Challenge.

The card base is Basic White card stock with a panel of Hand Penned DSP as the background for another panel of the same DSP.

Flowers from the Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set are stamped using Tuxedo Memento Black ink on Basic White card stock.  The flowers and leaves are colored using Highland Heather, Polished Pink, and Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends Markers.  After I had fussy cut the flowers and leaves, I remembered there is a punch that goes with the stamp set.  Guess I needed to practice my kindergarten skills. The greeting is from the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set and is stamped on a cropped circle using Soft Succulent ink.  The flowers are then arranged around the greeting using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Mini Glue Dots. Elegant Faceted Gems are popped in the center of each flower and two others popped around the flowers.

The sentiments from Flowers of Friendship and Better Places Stamp Sets are stamped in Soft Succulent ink on the Basic White panel.  A different flower from the Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored using Highland Heather and Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends Markers.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the DSP applied to the envelope flap.
