Welcome! It that time, the 2nd Tuesday of the month  you have been waiting for with excitement, a fun team blog hop from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.   The theme for this month is “Giving Thanks”. You are in for a treat seeing all the talent these ladies present to you. Sit back with your favorite beverage and enjoy.  You will see cards that will  inspire you to get creative as you jump from blog to blog.

The card I am sharing today is a semi-fun fold I suppose as it has a flap on the front.  This is a fun card with the rosette on the front.  I used Stampin’ Up! Round We Go Stamp Set, Stampin’ Up! Sketched Butterflies Stamp Set, and Stampin’ Up! Autumn Leaves Stamp Set, (this set is a $1,000,000 set as it is the set my upline Amy Koenders designed when she hit the $1,000,000).  It will be added to my $1,000,000 collection.

Card Cuts For This Card

  • Pecan Pie cardstok
    • card base — 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored  — cut off 1-1/2″
    • flap — 1-1/2″ x 4-1/4″  score 3-3/4″
  • Textured Metallic Foil 
    • mat card front– 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″
    • inside mat — 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″
    • flap mat — 1-1/8″ x  3-1/4″
  • Splendid Autumn 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper
    • bottom piece — 2-1/4″ x 5″
    • inside top piece — 1-1/2″ x 5-1/4″
  • Full Of Life 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper
    • rosettes — two 6″ x 6″ panels
    • Neutral 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper
  • Very Vanilla cardstock
    • inside sentiment — 1-1/2″ x 5-1/4″
    • embossed flap — 3/4″ x 3″

Start with a card base of Pecan Pie cardstock.  Adhere a panel of Pecan Pie from the  Neutral 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to the Copper Foil cardstock using adhesive of choice.  If you use Multipurpose Liquid Glue be sure not to get on your fingers so it will stick to the foil.  It is a pain to remove the glue from the foil.  Adhere the rosettes to the card front and to the flap.

  Adhere Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the tab of the flap and then adhere the flap to the back of the bronze foil, and finally to the front of the card base.  Before adding the flap to the Copper Foil, adhere the mat and embossed piece to the front of it.  Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Sketched Butterflies Stamp Set in Night Of Navy ink on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Adhere to the inside of the flap so it will not be seen until the flap is lifted.

A Very Vanilla envelope gets a panel of Pecan Pie from the Neutral 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The card shared today is from one of my favorite stamp sets of the 2024-2025 Sept – Dec Mini catalog, Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature Stamp Set.  Country Lace Designer Series Paper is also used in the creation.  Stampin’ Up! Sketched Butterflies Stamp Set is used for the greeting. Stampin’ Up! Regal Flora Stamp Set is used for the inside sentiment.

These are the card cuts you will need to create this card.

  • Boho Blue cardstock
    • card base — 5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ score at 4-1/4″
    •  flap –4-1/4′ x 4-1/4″ scored and folded at 1″
    • mat for next layer — 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″
    • art layer — 1-3/4″ x 2″
  • Basic White cardstock
    • art piece — 1-1/2′ x 1-3/4″
    • inside panel – 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Country Lace Designer Series Paper
    • left side card base — 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″ (cut 2 )
    • layer on card front — 2-1/4″ x 3-1/4″
    • flap inside & out — 3″ x 4″ (cut 2)
    • envelope — 2-1/4″ x 6″
    • back of card — 4″ x 5-1/4″

Color a 26″ length of Basic White Satin Ribbon using a Bobo Blue Stampin’ Blends. Stamp a flower image from Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature Stamp Set in Night Of Navy ink on the 1-1/2″ x 1-3/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.   Using a Blender Pen, blend the ink so that a bit of the blue highlights areas of the flower.

Adhere the designer series paper to the pieces of Boho Blue cardstock  you can tell by sizes above which piece goes with which one.  Center the piece of Boho Blue cardstock that measure 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ to the  Basic White 4″ x 5-1/4″ adhering adhesive to the 1″ flap and adhere to the back of the Basic White panel.

 

With the card open adhere the Country Lace Designer Series Paper to the left and right sides (see above).  On the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Regal Flora Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink. Stamp flowers from Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature Stamp Set in Boho Blue ink at the bottom the panel.

Adhere the 1-1/2″ x 1-3/4″ art piece over  the Country Lace Designer Series Paper piece on the card front, leaving a border around the edges .  Then adhere the piece to the right flap using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Lay the length of ribbon across the back of the card.  Secure with a piece of tape on each side.

Adhere a panel of Country Lace Designer Series Paper to the back of the card covering the ribbon and also helping secure the ribbon in place.

A Basic White envelope get a panel of Country Lace Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap.

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Mood Stamp Set and Dies along with Wildflower Designs and Sketched Butterfly Stamp Sets.  After I had this card made I realized I had used Poetic Expressions Designer Series Paper instead of Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper.

Card Cuts

  • Misty Moonlight cardstock
    • card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ (this is a landscape card)
  • Basic White cardstock
    • embossed panel card front — 4″ x 5-1/4″
    • inside panel — 4″ x 8-1/4″ scored at 5-1/4″ and 6-3/4″
    • magnolia — 4-1/4″ x 8″
  • Poetic Expressions Designer Series Paper 
    • piece across card front — 2-1/8″ x 5″

The card base is Misty Moonlight card stock.   Cut a panel of Basic White cardstock, adhere to the card fron with two glue dots so it can be removed after die cutting the opening for the greeting.  Cut a panel of Poetic Expression Designer Series Paper adhering over the Basic White panel.  Die cut an opening in the card front by placing a die from Thoughtful Expression Dies over the Poetic Expression panel.  You will be cutting through three layers.  Using the circle that is die cut front the card front, stamp a greeting using a stamp from Stampin’ Up!  Sketched Butterflies Stamp Set.

Once die cut, remove the panels carefully from each other, so the Basic White panel can be embossed using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.  After embossing, adhere the Poetic Expressions panel to the embossed panel again, this time using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or adhesive of choice.  Adhere the Basic White embossed panel to the card front making sure to align the openings evenly.

Stamp the magnolia image along with the image of the magnolia bud and small flower in Smoky Slate ink on a panel of Basic White cardstock.  Color the images using Balmy Blue, Bubble Bath, Granny Apple, and Wild Wheat Stampin’ Blends.  Die cut the large magnolia image  when die cutting the magnolia, small magnolia, and the magnolia bud. 

Stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Wildflower Designs Stamp Set using Night Of Navy ink.  Adhere the Magnolia bud in the lower corner, see photo above.  Adhere the panel to the inside of the card base.

Close the card and adhere the greeting in the circle, making sure to only place adhesive on a portion of the circle so you won’t glue your card closed.  See the photo above this one for how the sentiment circle looks when the card is opened.  You can see only a portion of the card has been adhered to the inside panel.

I have a fun card today to share.  It is quick and easy, even if it does look difficult.  I could not believe how quick I had it finished and I need quick and easy.  It is a combination of Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions Stamp Set and the September 2024 Paper Pumpkin.  I also used a die from Spotlight On Nature Dies to die cut my circle and a piece of Sweet Days Of Autumn Designer Series Paper.

The card base is Pecan Pie. A focal panel is added by adhering a panel of a card from the September Paper Pumpkin.  A piece of Sweet Days Of Autumn Designer Series Paper is added at the bottom of the panel.  A circle is then die cut using a die from Spotlight On Nature Dies.

 Cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock 5-1/4″ x 8-1/2″.  Score at 4″ and 6-1/4″. Adhere the  4″ section to the inside of card base.  You can see in the above photo how the piece is adhered.  The circle that you die cut from the card front is place back in the opening you can see above how it is adhered to the panel.  The card is closed when you adhere the circle so you will know exactly where it is to have the adhesive put.

Decorate the card front using elements from the September Paper Pumpkin.  Stamp a greeting in Cajun Craze ink on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using one of the stamps from the September Paper Pumpkin.  Die cut the greeting using a die from Deckled Circle Dies.  Pop Blueberry Bushel gems on the card front using gems from Tinsel Gems Four Pack.

Stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions Stamp Set in Cajun Craze ink on the Very Vanilla panel.  Stamp the wheat image in the corner of the panel.

One of the envelopes fromt the Paper Pumpkin Kit is used as the envelope, no need to decorate one.

Stampin’ Up! Autumn Abundance

Stampin’ Up! Autumn Abundance

The card I am sharing today is a September 2024 Paper Pumpkin alternative card.  Stampin’ Up! Beach Day Stamp Set is used for the sentiment.

The card base is Early Espresso cardstock.  A card from Paper Pumpkin Autumn Abundance is cut in half, this will allow two cards to be made instead of just the one. Both the front and back of the card has a nice design.  The card half is trimmed to fit the card base leaving a border around the panel. Using a stamp from the Paper Pumpkin Kit,  a sprig image is stamped in Cajun Craze ink  around the card front.  The panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

 

A greeting from the Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set is stamped in Cajun Craze ink on a banner lable from the kit.  A strip of Cajun Craze is adhered at the bottom of the greeting, then the greeting is popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals, over the loopy bow. Leaves  from the Paper Pumpkin Kit are placed behind the greeting along with a few sprigs die cut from Cajun Craze cardstock.  A snail from the Kit is popped on the corner of the greeting.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Beach Day Stamp Set is stamped on a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Leaves are stamped in Cajun Craze and Crush Curry ink  down the side of the panel using stamps fromt the Paper Pumpkin Kit.

A Very Vanilla envelope get a panel of Neutral 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
