Stampin with Shirley G

Welcome! Bringing a little Christmas Joy to you early using the Flourishing Phrases and Dashing Deer stamps sets with the Festive Farmhouse DSP.

Design and inspiration from Fab Fri 147 Challenge

Cherry Cobbler is the card base. The 5-1/4″ x 4″ mat is from the Festive Farmhouse DSP as is the plaid banner. This is adhered to the Cherry Cobbler card base using  Multipurpose Liquid Glue A 2-1/8″ x 4-1/2″ strip was cut to make the banner.  The stitched scalloped oval is cut from Very Vanilla card stock  using a stitched oval scalloped framelits.

Leaves are cut from Shaded Spruce,  Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White  using the Flourish Thinlits.  All of these were attached to the back of the Very Vanilla oval using Glue Dots afterwards the oval was popped over the Festive Farmhouse plaid banner using Stampin Dimensionals.

The Dashing Deer is cut from Early Expresso  card stock with the antlers being embossed using Versa Mark and Clear Embossing powder and popped on the Very Vanilla oval with Stampin Dimensionals. A pearl from the Basic Jewels was colored using a Cherry Cobbler Stampin Blends and adhered to the oval.  A bow was made using Copper Metallic Thread and adhered with a glue dot.

The inside sentiment is stamped on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock using  Cherry Cobbler ink.  A piece of the  Festive Farmhouse DSP was cut and adhered to the bottom of the panel of Very Vanilla  card stock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Here it is Friday and it’s off to the Old Timer’s Bluegrass Festival in Townsend, TN.  Have you ever been to Cade’s Cove, if not it is a great visit.  My husband loves Bluegrass and I love him, so there we go.  I am more Andre Rieu (especially when he plays “My Way” the audience will be crying) that is world’s apart.  The things we do for love. 

 My card today is created using the Dashing Along DSP and the Wood Texture DSP.

Happy Hawmp Day, y’all!  This is a quote from Mary Deatherage.  Love how she is always  so happy and encouraging and a delight to listen to on her videos. Better than watching NCIS and I love NCIS, my only show to watch and much more cheerful than Gibbs. She is always giving us cheery quotes and encouragements along the way as she does her blog.  So Happy Hawmp Day, ya’ll! She must be from the South.

The card  is created using the Winter Woods stamp set along with the Nature Sings stamp set.  Night of Navy is used as the mat and Thick Whisper White as the base.  The Night of Navy mat has been embossed using the Tin Tile  DTIEF.  The tree is cut using the In The Woods Framelits Dies.

The design and inspiration comes from the Paper Players  Sketch Challenge PP411.  You can click on the link to check out all the beautiful cards entered in this challenge.

This is an easy card to make.  The  White 1/8″ ribbon is adhered with glue dots on the back of the card.  The ribbon give the design to the card that is requested in the challenge.

The inside sentiment is from the Nature Sings stamp set stamped on Whisper White card stock and adhered to a Night of Navy mat using Liquid Glue.  The three trees are from the Nature Sings stamp set also and is stamped in Night of Navy ink.
