How Sweet It Is!
Happy Tuesday.
The card starts with a Gorgeous Grape card base. I believe this is the first time using this color card stock for a card. I have used Highland Heather many times and they go well together. A panel from the How Sweet It Is DSP is run through the Big Shot using one of the dies from the Doily Builder Framelits Dies. It is adhered to the Coastal Cabana mat using Liquid Glue.
Inspiration for my card layout comes from the MTF Sketch Challenge for the week.
The candy jar and the lollipop are fussy cut from another panel of How Sweet It Is DSP. The candy jar is popped in the Coastal Cabana space. The stick for the lollipop is cut in two pieces so that it will look as if the lollipop is sticking all the way behind the candy jar. A tiny bow is made from a short length of Whisper White Twine and tied around the lollipop stick just below the lollipop. Tiny gummy bears are fussy cut and scattered around the candy jar. After all items have been adhered to the focal panel, it is popped onto the card base using Mini Stampin Dimensionals.
Since I did not have a Happy Birthday stamp that was a single line, I used the stamp from the Better Together stamp set and did a bit of masking so it would only stamp one word at a time. It was stamped on a strip of Whisper White card stock in Lovely Lipstick and matted on a strip of Coastal Cabana card stock.
This was then popped onto the card base at the bottom of the card, leaving a blank space between the greeting and the focal panel, so I added a few Coastal Cabana stars and I am just now realized that must be a retired item, so you can use any of the Basic Jewel elements to fill in this space or maybe a length of ribbon. The card front is now finished.
The inside sentiment is stamped on a panel of Whisper White in Coastal Cabana Ink and matted on a panel of Coastal Cabana card stock. A candy jar from a panel of the How Sweet It Is DSP is fussy cut and adhered to the panel using Liquid Glue.
I hope you liked my card for the day and that you found encouragement and inspiration for your own creation.
Card Cuts are at the bottom of the post.

Hope you have had a grand Sunday in spite of the yucky weather.

Happy cold Saturday! Hope you have had a fantastic day in spite of the cold. I spent my day at a ballet performance for my granddaughter. She had one of the lead parts and I almost missed it. Simply forgot it until my son called, “Mom you do remember today is Hannah’s performance.” I would have been a bad Gran if that had happened. I was off making cards, so had to rush to get there.
The doily is cut and the inside white space is stamped with the greeting and then placed back in the center of the doily it was taken from. All the layers are adhered using Liquid Glue. A bow is made using Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine. Three Glitter Enamel Dots in various sizes are adhered to the Coastal Cabana and Melon Mambo striped panel, two are placed on the doily. That’s the front finished.

The card base is Highland Heather. A Basic Black mat is cut and a panel of Thick Whisper White is adhered to the Basic Black using Liquid Glue after running it through the Big Shot to emboss using the Subtles TIEF. These two are then adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.

It is amazing what you can make with scraps. Thank you
The little piece of grill looking texture behind the hummingbird is from the Hummingbird Framelites Dies and is adhered using Liquid Glue. The greeting is stamped in Balmy Blue on a scrap of Balmy card stock, Old Olive and White Twine is wrapped around the greeting piece a few time and tied in a bow then popped on the background piece using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three sequins have been adhered under the greeting. The Humming Along hummingbird (don’t you just love that bird) is then popped over the greeting panel. Several sequins are scattered over the background piece.
The inside sentiment from the Seasoned with Kindness stamp set is stamped in Blueberry Bushel on a panel of Whisper White that has a Balmy Blue watercolor wash in the center.
