Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage with Let It Ride

Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage with Let It Ride

My card today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage and Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride stamp sets.  We think of these two sets as masculine, but I know many ladies who can work on cars and love their horses.  Two friends come to mind at the moment who are horse enthusiasts and love their horses.  I have a wonderful, lovely picture of one with her horse when she was younger.  It will bring tears to my eyes when I see it.  It is such a sweet picture of the two and shows how much they love and trust each other.

My challenge for the day is Sunday Stamps sketch challenge.

There is a card base of Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock with two mats in two different sizes.  The art piece is a combination of the two stamp set I am using today.  They are Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride and Stampin’ Up Geared Up Garage stamp sets. The art piece is stamped in several colors, Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz inks for the trees.  The horses and car are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink and then colored. I used Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake for the horses and Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Light Bermuda Bay Markers for the car.  The greetings on the front are from the Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride and Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage stamp sets.  The sky is colored lightly with a Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue Watercolor Pencil.

I made two sentiments for the inside so that the person I was making this for could choose whether it should be a birthday or Father’s Day card.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the art panel on the card front.  I  stamped the images from the Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride stamp set on the front of the envelope and gave the same to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed

Stampin’ Up! New Wonders

Stampin’ Up! New Wonders

There is nothing like getting your card for a certain challenge made at midnight and start to write the blog only to realize you have made the card entirely different from what the challenge is.  So what do you do?  You put it all away and go to bed, hoping for a better morning.  Well, here I am again with a totally different card and praying it works this time.

I am playing along again today at another challenge at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday.

I used the Stampin’ Up! New Wonders stamp set to create this cute little card.  I have been wanting to use this set and just kept waiting to do it.  It is a cute stamp set and is actually a Hostess Set, meaning you can earn it by having a $150 party or purchasing $150 personally.  Being a demonstrator means I had the opportunity to order it during pre-order (one of the perks of being a demonstrator) after OnStage in November 2018.  Has it really been that long since OnStage?  We have a new one coming in April and if you become a demonstrator, you have the privilege of going if you so choose.  That’s enough, now on to the card for the day.  Here are the basics of the card:

  • The base is Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana card stock.
  • Two panels from the Stampin’ Up! Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper, one is the mat and the other is the background panel.
  • A 2″ strip is cut fro the Poppy Parade, and adhered with Liquid Multipurpose Glue to the center portion of the background panel.  Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Twine is wrapped around this panel three times before it is adhered.  A bow is also made and popped on using Glue Dots.
  • Using a die from the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Framelits Dies a border piece is cut for each side of the Poppy Parade panel.
  • Several Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels are colored with the Stampin’ Up! Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends and scattered about on the card front.
  • One of the images from the Stampin’ Up! New Wonders Hostess Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a 3″ square of  Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Paper.  After stamping, I cut it out using Stampin’ Up Layering Circle Dies.  Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends are used to color the image.  The colors used were Light Poppy Parade, Light Bermuda Bay, Light Daffodil Delight, Light Petal Pink, Light Crumb Cake, Light Balmy Blue, and Light Smoky Slate.

That’s it for the card front.  There is no inside sentiment only three hearts stamped in Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade Ink using the small heart stamp from Stampin’ Up! Meant to Be stamp set.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the background panel on the card front.  I  stamped the images from the Stampin’ Up! New Wonders stamp set on the front of the envelope and gave the envelope flap a panel from the Stampin’ Up! Follow Your Art DSP.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed.

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Lane

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Lane

No more “SNEAK PEEKS”, no more ” Available June 4″. June 4 is in the history books and everyone can order until their heart’s content or their credit card gets declined because you have reached your limit–Smile–real big here–.  My card today is from the Stampin’ Up! Daisy Lane Stamp Set.  Daisies are my favorite flower so it was a fun card to make.

My challenge for the day is with Try Stamping on Tuesday.

Stampin’ Up! Highland Heather card stock is used as the card base as is the mat for the focal/background panel.  They have been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder.

The daisy has been stamped in Stampin’ Up! Blushing Bride ink using the Stampin’ Up! Daisy Lane stamp set.  It is punched out using the Stampin’ Up! Daisy Punch.  The Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels in the center of the daisy have been colored with the Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot stamp pad by rolling the pearls around on the stamp pad and then picking up with tweezers and placing on a piece of waxed paper to dry.

The band across the middle of the card is a strip of Stampin’ Up! Granny Apple Green card stock adhered with Liquid Multipurpose Glue.

The greeting is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Smoky Slate in on a scrap of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock and cut into a flag end and popped on with a Stampin’ Up! Glue Dot.

The sentiment is stamped in Smoky Slate ink on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock.  The daisy in the right corner is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Blushing Bride ink and one is stamped and fussy cut and popped on the stamped one with a Glue Dot.

To finish my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the background panel on the card front.  I  stamped the images from the Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence card set on the front of the envelope.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed.

Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away

Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away

My card today is created using the Stampin’ Up Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack.  This is a simple card to make #simplestamping.  Really there is no stamping to it.  We learned it all in kindergarten, cut and paste!

The challenge I am playing along with today is Sketch Saturday

The card is put together using either Liquid Glue, Glue Dots or Stampin’ Up! Stampin Dimensionals.  The greeting panel is popped on using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside sentiment is created using the stickers in the  Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack.

The card from the card pack is adhered using Liquid Glue and the stickers one in the middle of the compass and the other just a bit below.

To finish my card I decorated a  Very Vanilla Envelope so it will coordinate with the background panel on the card front.  I popped the sticker images from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Memories and More card set on the front of the envelope.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed.

Stampin’ Up! Hugs from Shelli with Love What You Do

Stampin’ Up! Hugs from Shelli with Love What You Do

I used one of the cards from the May Paper Pumpkin “Hugs from Shelli” to help create this card.  I used the card with the pink cherry blossoms as the background panel for this card.

My challenges for this card are first the Inspire,  Create  Challenge  #044.

And…  the card Concept 116

My card base is Stampin’ Up! Petal Pink card stock.  The flower panel is from the May  Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin Hugs from Shelli.  The flower panel was cut from the card leaving the blank piece that I used for the art panel. I stamped the art panel with the flower stamp in the May Paper Pumpkin Kit.  It is colored using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Light Petal Pink and Light Mossy Meadow.  Several loops of Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow Linen Thread from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo pack is adhered behind the art piece with a Stampin’ Up! Glue Dot.

The sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Gray Granite ink on a Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla card stock panel.  The flowers from the Hugs from  Shelli Paper Pumpkin.

To finish my card I decorated a  Very Vanilla Envelope so it will coordinate with the art panel on the card front.  I stamped the flower image from the Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin Hugs from Shelli stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the front of the envelope.  I colored it in the same Stampin’ Blends colors as I did the art piece on the card front.   I adhered a panel of card stock from the Stampin’ Up! Bird Ballad DSP on the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed.
