Stampin’ Up! Country Birdhouse –Hello Friend

Stampin’ Up! Country Birdhouse –Hello Friend

The card I am sharing today is one shared by a team member, Rosie Kean, at out quarterly meeting.  We have card demonstrations at the last team meeting of the quarter.   She used Stampin’ Up! Country Birdhouse stamp set and Dies and this card is my creation of her card.

I am entering Creative Creases Challenge for this card.

The above photos show what you need for the card base, the cut for the birdhouse and the pieces you will need to create this card.

I started with a Crumb Cake card base, adding a  layer of Pecan Pie cardstock next and Country Woods Designer Series Paper on top of the Pecan Pie card stock.  As you have die cut the pieces necessary to create this card. A greeting is stamped on the Country Woods piece that is for the ledge of the birdhouse, it is stamped in Memento Black ink using a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Country Birdhouse stamp set.

This is how the card looks when the birdhouse part of the card is opened.  On the birdhouse I stamped a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set.  The sentiment at the bottom with the bird is from Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set.  Both are stamped in Memento Black ink.  The birdhouse is then centered on the panel and adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

This is how the card looks with the bottom panel opened flat fully showing the birdhouse on the back panel.

The bottom panel is folded up to close and the birdhouse closes over the panel.

A Basic White cardstock piece is stamped with flowers from Stampin’ Up! Country Birdhouse and colored using Lemon Lolly, Garden Green, and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.  The piece is matted to a piece of Pecan Pie cardstock and adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove

Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove

I am using Stampin’ Up! In The Grove and Grassy Grove stamp set and In The Grove Dies along with Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper and Garden Meadow Dies for the card I am sharing with you today.

The card base is Blueberry Bushel cardstock.  I stamped images from Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove stamp set on a piece of Basic White cardstock to create the appearance of a hill.  I used Garden Green and Old Olive ink.  I stamped a deer from the stamp set in Crumb Cake ink and die cut using a die from Grove Dies. I die cut two baby deers from Basic White cardstock coloring using Basic Beige ink and a Blending Brush.

A fox and trees are stamped in Garden Green and Cajun Craze ink, die cut and put aside until the die cut trees are ready to be popped over the art piece.  The die cut trees are embossed using Timber 3D Embossing Folder before it is popped over the art piece using  Foam Adhesive Strips.  The die cut trees are adhered in the left lower corner.  Birds and Dragonflies from Adhesive Backed Dragonflies & Birds

This is how the card looks standing.

Stampin’ Up! Beside Me

Stampin’ Up! Beside Me

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Beside Me stamp set and Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper.

I am entering my card in Avenue 613 Challenge. It has an optional twist is Men. As this is a Father’s Day card it qualifies.

I am also entering Ellibelle’s Corner: Crafty Wednesday June and July Challenge

And … NBUS Challenge as I have never used the Stampin’ Up! Beside Me stamp set before so it is a Never Before Been Used Schtuff

I started with a Basic White cardstock card base, adding a panel of Blueberry Bushel cardstock, then a panel of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper.  They are adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped an image from Stampin’ Up! Beside Me stamp set in Memento Black ink.  I colored the image using Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Wild Wheat and Real Red Stampin’ Blends. After coloring I fussy cut the image and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Beside Me stamp set is stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink on the upper left corner of the card front.

The left over piece of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper from the panel on the card front is adhered to a panel of Basic White cardstock.  A sentiment is stamped on the Basic White side.  It has been so long since I made this card I do not remember the stamp set for it, but you can use any sentiment of your choice.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Journey — Thinking Of You

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Journey — Thinking Of You

The card I am sharing today is created using Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Up! Coffee With Friends stamp set, Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes stamp set, Stampin’ Up! Country Birdhouse stamp set, and Spotlight On Nature Dies.  Don’t be shy about using more than one stamp set when creating a card.  You may see one part in one stamp set you like and another part in another stamp set.  I am probably well know for using greetings and sentiments from other stamp sets other than the one that features the focal part of the card front.  This is a card I saw of Susan Campfield’s.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Addicted To Stamps  — any occasion is the theme for this challenge

Krafty Chicks Challenge  — anything goes

Creative Creases Challenge  — Always Fun Folds

Start with a card base of Misty Moonlight.  Cut a panel of Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper, adhering to the card front.  Using a die from Spotlight on Nature Dies cut a circle in the card front.  You may need to run the it through the Emboss, Cut Machine twice as you are cutting through both cardstock and designer series paper.  After cutting the circle, adhere the Misty Moonlight die cut piece to the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper circle using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.   Lay it aside for the moment.

Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 5-1/4″ x 8-1/2″. Score the piece at 4″ and 6-1/4″.  This is for the inside piece.  Stamp in Misty Moonlight ink a sentiment on the left panel of the piece using a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Country Birdhouse stamp set.  Stamp the stem of flowers in Misty Moonlight ink in the lower right corner of the panel using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes stamp set.  On the middle panel adhere the piece of Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper left when you cut the panel for the card front.  Fold, burnishing well and adhere the panel to the card base using adhesive of your choice, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

With the card closed, adhere the circle you put aside earlier to the opening in the card front.  Stamp a greeting in Misty Moonlight ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Coffee With Friends stamp set.  Die cut the greeting using a die from Spotlight On Nature Dies.  Pop the greeting on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals on the lower portion of the circle.  Pop gems from Glossy Dots Assortment around the card front.

Be sure to only adhere the right side of the circle in the opening, you do not want to glue your card close and unable to open.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Sending Love

Stampin’ Up! Sending Love

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Sending Love dies along with Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes dies.  I also used  Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper.

I am entering my card in the challenge at:

Alphabet Challenge  —  E for Embossing

Can You Handle The Challenge

I started by adhering a panel of Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper that has been embossed using Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder to a Smokey Slate card base.  I used Granny Apple Green and Old Olive card stock to cut the grass and shrubs.  I adhered them at the bottom of the card front over the Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I die cut two stems of flowers using a die from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes Dies.  I colored the flowers using Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.  I die cut a mailbox from a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock stamping MAIL on the side of the mailbox in Memento Black ink, the flag from Real Red cardstock and the mailbox post from Early Espresso, and Basic White for the envelope that fits into the mailbox.  All the pieces are arranged over the Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper as you can see in the photo above.  White sequins are popped around the card front.  The mailbox is adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the Basic White envelope is put together using Glue Dots.

A stem of flowers is die cut using the same die as the one used to die the flowers on the card front.  The same colors are also used to color the flowers.  After coloring, the stem of flowers is adhered in the lower right corner using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The panel is then adhered to the card base.  No sentiment is added at this time as I do not know what kind of card I will need.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

  • Ready to Join our team?  Click HERE  for more information. One of the perks of being a demonstrator is that you get to pre-order before a new catalog  launches so you are able to show your customers what they can look forward to having when the new catalog comes out.  You will also be getting at least a 20% discount on purchases. If you love card making as a hobby, you can still be a demonstrator and get that discount to help get more card making items,  or you can be like I was and buy Stampin’ Up! products for 10 years before I became wise enough to become a demonstrator to get the discount.  When I think of all the stamping products that 20% would have brought over those 10 years, I cringe.
