Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia Set for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop.

Welcome! it’s the 2nd Tuesday of the month and time for a group of talented ladies to share  with you. It is a fun team blog hop from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.   This month we are all creating “Fun Fold” cards. Hopefully, as you hop from blog to blog  you will see cards that will  inspire you to get creative and you will join the blog hop next month.

This is my Fun Fold that I am sharing for this blog hop.  The stamp set is Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia.

My card base is Basic White cardstock with a variety of the different patterns from Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper. The card front is a piece of Basic White cardstock die cut using a Perennial Postage Die.  The piece is embossed using Timber 3D Embossing Folder.  Zinnias from Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia Stamp Set is stamped in Memento Black ink and colored using Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo, and Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blends.  They are fussy cut and popped on the Basic White Embossed piece.  That piece is adhered to the flap on the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A bow is made from Linen Thread and popped under the greeting using a Glue Dot.  The greeting is stamped in Highland Heather ink, fussy cut and popped over the bow using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Purple Shimmery Gems are scattered around the card front.

I put a piece of white paper so you could not the next layer before it is open.  This is how it looks with the first opening.  You can see where to place Designer Series Paper and the flower from Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper.  A fussy cut zinnia from Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper is adhered over a piece of the Designer Series Paper.

You can see from this photo that a full sheet of cardstock is used in creating the card base with a few scores and cut to create this design.  Score at 4-1/4″ on the 8-1/2″ side, turn to the 11″ side and score at 5-1/2″.

At the top of the 8-1/2″ side cut from the 4-1/4″ score line down to the 5-1/2″ score line.  Turn the cardstock to the 11″ side and cut from the 5-1/2″ score line over to the cut line at 4-1/4″.

Do the same at the bottom, starting at the 4-1/4″ score line and cutting up to the 5-1/2″ score line.  Turn the cardstock and cut from the cardstock edge over to the 4-1/4″ line that you just cut.  You can see in the photo where I have cut.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Love Stamp Set is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink on a Basic White piece of cardstock, die cut using a die from Thoughtful Expressions Dies and adhered to the outside of the little card over the green designer series paper from Flowering Zinnia Designer Series Paper

The little card is adhered over the piece of the purple designer series paper.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Love Stamp Set is stamp on the inside of the card in  Highland  Heather and Granny Apple Green ink.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

  • Ready to Join our team?  Click HERE  for more information. One of the perks of being a demonstrator is that you get to pre-order before a new catalog  launches so you are able to show your customers what they can look forward to having when the new catalog comes out.  You will also be getting at least a 20% discount on purchases. If you love card making as a hobby, you can still be a demonstrator and get that discount to help get more card making items,  or you can be like I was and buy Stampin’ Up! products for 10 years before I became wise enough to become a demonstrator to get the discount.  When I think of all the stamping products that 20% would have brought over those 10 years, I cringe.
