Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Hexagon

Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Hexagon

The card I am sharing today is an anniversary card for my grandson and his wife.  I used several stamp sets in creating it, Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Hexagon Stamp Set, Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Love Stamp Set and Stampin’ Up! Frosted Forest Stamp Set and Dies.  I also used Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper and Timber 3D Embossing Folder and Stylish Shapes Dies.

Card Cuts:

  • Basic White cardstock
    • card base — 4-14″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″
    • embossed panel card front — 3/4″ x 5″
    • inside panel — 3-3/4″ x 5″
    • trees card front — 4″x 4″
    • greeting card front — scrap
  • Misty Moonlight cardstock
    • mat card front and inside — 4″ y  5-1/4″
    • scrap for mat for tree on card front
  • Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper
    • backgound piece card front  — 3-3/4″ x 5″

Die cut a circle in a piece of the Basic White cardstock using the largest die from Stylish Shapes Dies.  Emboss the panel using Timber 3D Embossing Folder.  Adhere the trees die cut using a die from Frosted Forest Dies to the circle using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The tips of the trees are outside the circle on the embossed panel. Adhere the embossed panel to the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue Liquid Glue. Add the die cut tree that has been die cut using a die Frosted Forest Dies to the right corner of the embossed panel.  Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Love Stamp set  in Misty Moonlight ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock.  Trim the greeting then pop on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Pop gems from Tinsel Gems Three Pack around the card front.

Stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Hexagon Stamp Set in Misty Moonlight ink on a panel of Basic White cardstock.  Using a Blending Brush and Mistry Moonlight ink brush over a stencil made of the trees like the ones on the card front.  Adhere the panel to a Misty Moonlight cardstock panel, then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Wishes — Merry Christmas

Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Wishes — Merry Christmas

Don’t you just hate it when you have your blog all ready and your computer blinks and you lose it all. Even saving as I went along did not prevent it. That’s what happened to me last night, so I gave up and went to bed.  Trying again today.

The . I am sharing today is a CAS of one Amy Koenders created.  When I saw her card, I thought it so beautiful and wanted to create my own.  I had no idea of the real beauty until I created mine, photos do not do justice to the beauty of the card. Cick on Amy’s name above and it will take you to her blog. She has a video and pdf available and her instructions are very detailed in the pdf.  So if you decide you want to create your own, go to her instructions.

I am giving the card cuts for this card.  My creating is a different one than Amy used.  I used one of the greetings from Joyful Saying Ephemera Pack.  I die cut two circles using two different size dies from Stylish Shape Dies, embossed both, adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, and adhered the greeting. The greeting is adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue again.  Dots from Glossy Dots Assortment are popped around the card front.

Card Cuts

  • Shaded Spruce cardstock
    • card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″ score at 5-1/2
    • panel card front — 4′ x 5-1/4″
    • strip 1/2″ x 3-7/8″  for die cut
  • Real Red cardstock
    • panel —  3″ x 3-7/8″ greeting die cut
  • Basic Beige cardstock
    • inside panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″
    • tag card front —
  • Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper
      • top panel — 2-1/2″ x 3-7/8″
      • fussy cuts (3)

The sentiment is another of the many choices you get from the Joyful Sayings Ephemera Pack.  I used Basic Beige and a Blending Brush to give a bit of color to the sentiment as it was white and I wanted it to blend more with the Basic Beige panel.  Also, greenery with berries was fussy cut from the same panel of Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper as the card front.

A Very Vanilla envelope gets a panel of Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I am happy you stopped by today.  I hope you take the time to linger and look at my other blog posts and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team November Blog Hop

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team November Blog Hop

Welcome! It that time, the 2nd Tuesday of the month  you have been waiting for with excitement, a fun team blog hop from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.   The theme for this month is “Merry Christmas of Happy Holidays”. You are in for a treat seeing all the talent these ladies present to you. Sit back with your favorite beverage and enjoy.  You will see cards that will  inspire you to get creative as you jump from blog to blog.

A very easy card, I am sharing with you today.  The Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper does all the work.  I did use the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the Shaded Spruce cardstock strip on the right side.

The card base is Basic White cardstock with a panel of Shaded Spruce cardstock as the mat for the Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper.  Elements from Joyful Saying Ephemera Pack is used for the greeting.  Glossy Dots from Glossy Dots Assortment Pack are popped around the card front.

Card Cuts

  • Basic White cardstock
    • card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″  from bottom edge1″ of right side of card front cut in 1″ to the score line.
  • Shaded Spruce cardstock
    • mat  — 3-1/8″ x 5-3/”
  • Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper
    • focal panel card front — 3″ x 5-1/4″

o

A sentiment from the Joyful Sayings Ephemera Pack is placed on the Basic White card base and is lightly drawn around to get the space that need to be colored using Shaded Spruce ink and a Blending Brush.  The sentiment is adhered over the shaded area using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A Glossy Dot is popped by the sentiment.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Friends For Life — Thinking Of You — Easel Card

Stampin’ Up! Friends For Life — Thinking Of You — Easel Card

The card I am sharing with you today is created using Stampin’ Up! Friends For Life Stamp Set for the greeting and sentiment.  Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper does most of the work as you can see from the card. I cut strips of several of the different patterns then cut in little pieces.

Challenges:

Creative Creases Challenge — Always A Fun Fold

Pammie’s Inky Pinkies Challenge

Card Cuts For This Card

  • Basic Black cardstock
    • card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″
    • label card front — 1-1/2″ 4-1/8″
    • card back — 2-1/4″ x 3-3/4″
  • Gold Foil Sheet
    • mat card front — 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Cajun Craze cardstock
    • mat card front  and inside —3-3/4″ x 5″
    • card back — 2-1/2″ x 4″
  • Basic White cardstock
    • card front and inside panel — 3-3/4″ x 5″

Fold and burnish the card base at the score line, this will form the easel.

Another blog that has an easel card and another one.  The Cajun Craze mat and the Gold Foil mat will be adhered later.

To create the front panel and inside panel take a piece of Basic White cardstock for both, putting a piece of adhesive sheet the same size on the Basic White pieces.  Take the Sweet Days Of Autumn Designer Series Paper that has been cut into little pieces and place on the Basic White cardstock piece that has the adhesive sheet on it.  Leave a border around the pieces, you can see in the photo above how this is done.

Once you have enough of the little pieces on the card, sprinkle black embossing powder on the exposed parts of the adhesive sheet.  Set with a heat tool. You can see from the photo how it looks.  I did not put the greeting on the card front because I did not want to cover the beauty of this card.

Adhere one of the Cajun Craze pieces to the Gold Foil piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Adhere one of the mosaic pieces over the Cajun Craze.  Adhere to the card front at the fold.  Look at one of the photos above to see placement.  Adhere the other mosaic piece to the Cajun Craze piece and adhere to the inside of the card.

On a piece of Basic Black cardstock stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Friends For Life Stamp Set in Versa Mark, sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.  This greeting becomes the stop for the easel.  You can see the placement of the greeting from the photo above.

This is how the inside of the card looks.  The sentiment at the top of the panel is from Stampin’ Up! Friends For Life Stamp Set.  The sentiment is stamped in Versa Mark ink on a piece of Basic Black cardstock that is later trimmed to fit the space it is in, sprinkle Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.

This is the back of the card. I die cut the heart from Friends For Life Dies, adhered to a piece of Basic White cardstock, colored the leaves in the heart with Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wheat, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.  I adhered the heart on the black mat on the back of the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The sentiment is one from long retired Stampin’ Up! Gone Fishing Stamp Set.  I could not find a current stamp set with this sentiment.

A Basic White envelope get a panel of Cajun Craze cardstock embossed using Exposed Brick Embossing Folder adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees — love & joy

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees — love & joy

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees Stamp Set and Dies.  The greeting and sentiment are both from this stamp set.  I also used Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla cardstock.

The card base is Very Vanilla cardstock with a layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock embossed with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder.  The remaining parts of the card are created using scraps from other cards that I have created.  The Season of Green and Gold Designer Series Paper is the base for the Christmas tree.  Scraps of other Designer Series Papers are adhered to a piece of an adhesive sheet, sprinkled with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.

The Christmas tree piece is adhered over the Mossy Meadow cardstock embossed piece uing Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Daffodil Delight  dots from Glossy Dots Assortment are popped around the card front.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees Stamp Set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a Very Vanilla scrap, trimmed and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A small bow is created using Gold Twisted Thread.  It is popped on the top of the tree using a Glue Dot.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees Stamp Set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.  A negative piece from die cutting trees is adhered over the sentiment giving the appearance of a tree.  The panel is adhered to the Very Vanilla card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I am happy you stopped by today.  I hope you take the time to linger and look at my other blog posts and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Have a blessed day!

Questions? You can Contact Me.  I’d love to be your Demonstrator if you need any stamping supplies.  Just click on the Shop Now button on the top right side of the screen to go directly to my online store.  You can Shop in my online store HERE

  • Ready to Join our team?  Click HERE  for more information. One of the perks of being a demonstrator is that you get to pre-order before a new catalog launches.  You will also be getting at least a 20% discount on purchases and invitations to Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator events. If you love card-making as a hobby, you can still be a demonstrator and get that discount to help get more card-making items,  or you can be like I was and buy Stampin’ Up! products for 10 years before I became wise enough to become a demonstrator to get the discount.  When I think of all the stamping products that 20% would have brought over those 10 years, I cringe.

We welcome all types of Demonstrators from those only purchasing to get the discount for themselves to those who want to run a business and those anywhere in between!  We’re a relaxed group that loves to stamp with no pressure to sell!

There is no commitment and no penalty if you decide that being a Demonstrator isn’t right for you.  Why not give it a try?  We have a fun Facebook page where we chat a lot and we do virtual meetings monthly and in-person meetings quarterly.
