Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments

My first Christmas card of the season.  The card I am sharing is created using the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set and Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies.

The Krafty Chicks Challenge fits my card perfectly, so I am entering it.  Their theme for this challenge is Christmas.

I am happy this stamp set carried over from last year’s July-December 2021 Mini and you can see why in the above photo.  I had these all ready to put cards together and ended up in the hospital for 9 days and never finished my cards, so no one received a card last year.  I saw these in the cabinet with my stamps and thought well this is current now, I will finish what was started a year ago, therefore, you are getting the first Christmas card of the season.

I started with a Soft Succulent card stock card base.  To that, I added a panel of Evening Evergreen card stock embossed using the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.

The Soft Succulent and Basic White embossed pieces are also cropped using one of the dies that come with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.  You can crop and emboss at the same time. The Basic White embossed piece is matted over the Soft Succulent one.

The poinsettia, holly berries, and JOY are stamped in Real Red ink on Basic White then cropped using dies from the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.  The holly leaves and sprigs are stamped in Old Olive and Soft Succulent ink.

Sprigs are cropped from Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen card stock. All the elements are arranged and adhered to the embossed panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Three Rhinestone Basic Jewels are colored using a Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker and popped on the card front. The word JOY is stamped in Real Red ink, cropped, and popped on the card front.

A sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a Basic White card stock panel.  Holly leaves and berries are popped in the lower corner.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of 2021-2023 In Color DSP adhered to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints You’re On My Mind

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints You’re On My Mind

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints stamp set for the belly band.  Which makes the card front when it is put on the card.  A panel of Sun Prints DSP is embossed using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.  It then adheres to the inside panel of the fun fold.

Since my card is a fun fold, I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge.  It is always a fun fold.

My card design is inspired by the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday Challenge.  My card is a fun fold but still true to the design.

My card base is Basic White card stock.  The card size is 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 5-1/8″ and 4-1/4″.  This is a fun fold card so scoring this way will create the fun fold.  Panels of Sun Prints DSP are cut and adhered to the card base.  The larger panel is embossed using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.

Sentiments are stamped in Starry Sky ink on Basic White card stock and then cropped using dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Images are stamped in Starry Sky ink on Basic White card stock, cropped and adhered to the front panel and across the large sentiment circle.

To create the band across the card, I cut 1″ strips from two different patterns of the Sun Prints DSP, adhered them together and wrapped them around the card, and secured using Tear N Tape.   A large circle is cropped from Basic White card stock using the largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  It is adhered to the belly band using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  To make sure the Stampin’ Dimensionals are in the correct spot on the circle, they are adhered to the belly band and the circle is popped over the dimensionals.

I stamped flowers and sprigs from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints stamp set. They are stamped in Starry Sky, Pear Pizzazz, and Smoky Slate inks.  The flowers are the Smoky Slate stamped ones, so they are colored using a Melon Mambo Watercolor Pencil and a Blender Pen.  A Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Marker is used to color the center of the flowers.  They are adhered to the Stylish Shaped Circle using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals, and Glue Dots.  A greeting is stamped in Starry Sky ink on Basic White card stock, fussy cut, adhered to a piece of Sun Prints DSP, fussy cut again, then popped on the belly band.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Sun Prints DSP, retired, adhered to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Paradise Palms Sending A Little Message

Stampin’ Up! Paradise Palms Sending A Little Message

The card I am sharing today is a combination of Stampin’ Up! Paradise Palms and Bottled Happiness Stamp Sets.

The Allsorts Challenge is always Anything Goes sometimes with an option. The option this time is Sun, Sea, and Sand

I am entering the NBUS challenge because I have not used the stamps used in creating this card.

Since I have a birthday card, I thought I would join Seize the Birthday at the last minute.

I started by creating my cloud panel. You can see how I did the clouds from the diagram above.

Again, I used sticky notes to create the ocean. You can see where the ocean meets the sky, I put a sticky note over the portion that would have clouds, then tore another one to create the sand.  The ocean between these two sticky notes was colored using Balmy Blue and Pacific Point ink.  Once that portion was colored, I used Crumb Cake and Soft Suede to create the sand and the sand mounds.  The clouds were done last and you can see the diagram as how they are created.

One of the bottle stamps from Stampin’ Up! Bottled Happiness stamp set is stamped in Starry Night ink on Vellum, allowed to dry, the cut in half to fit the bottle behind the sand mound.

I stamped my palm trees in Old Olive ink and used a Stampin’ Write Soft Suede pen to color the palm tree trunk.  I fussy cut after die cutting because I did not like the large white border around the edges.  Grass is cropped from a scrap of Old Olive card stock and popped over a sand mound. The palm tree, grass and sand mound are adhered used Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Bottled Happiness stamp set is stamped in Soft Suede onto the sand mound.  The mound is then popped over the bottle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Several Basic White dots are colored using a Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends marker.  I used the one that is for the darkest skin tone.  These are popped at the foot of the tree in the grass and on the tree.  These are my version of coconuts.

My Basic White card stock cloud-created panel gets a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Paradise Palms stamp set stamped in Pacific Point ink, it is then matted on a panel of Balmy Blue card stock and adhered to the card base.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Flowering Fields DSP, retired, adhered to the envelope flap. This panel of DSP is clouds and is the right color so I used it instead of creating clouds on the envelope flap.

Shaded Summer & Summer Shadows Hello

Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer & Summer Shadows Hello

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer Stamp Set, Summer Shadow Dies, Thanks and Hello Embossing Folder, Fern 3D Embossing Folder, and Hues of Happiness DSP.

One of my challenges for today is the Alphabet Challenge — this week it is the letter E- Embossing dry/wet.  I have chosen dry.

My card design is inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge for this week.  It is a simple design, but often the simplest design can end up being the most complicated.

I started by embossing a panel of Basic White card stock using a Fern 3D Embossing Folder.   I also embossed a strip of Blackberry Bliss card stock using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.  I cut a second strip from the Hues of Happiness DSP that is paired with the Blackberry Bliss strip to create a mat for my flowers.

Flowers are cropped using dies from the Summer Shadow Dies, Blackberry Bliss card stock, and Hues of Happiness DSP. You can see from the photo how I created the flowers with opposite colors but still the same colors.  The leaves are some leftover from other cards.

I also embossed a strip of Hues of Happiness DSP with the Hello die from the Thanks & Hello Embossing Folders.  This strip becomes the greeting as it has the word Hello on the embossed strip.  I colored Pearl Basic Jewels using a Blackberry Bliss and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends Marker.

You can see how each element is added to the card to create the way the card looks.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets matted onto a panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A flower that matches the flowers on the card front is added to the right lower corner of the card.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Hues of Happiness DSP adhered to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Abigail Rose with Perfectly Penciled Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Abigail Rose with Perfectly Penciled Thinking of You

The card I am sharing today is a combination of Abigail Rose and Perfectly Penciled DSP. The strip panel behind the flowers is one left over creating another card.  I created the strip panel only to find out a few days ago when I was pulling out retired DSP that You’re A Peach DSP has a panel that is strip like this.  Evidently, I never used the DSP or I would have known.

My challenge for today is with the Tic, Tac Toe Challenge.  I am going across the top row. I can also do down the left side,

I started with a Sweet Sorbet card stock card base, to this I added a panel of Basic White card stock embossed using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.  It is adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the card base.

Flowers from both Abigail Rose and Perfectly Penciled DSP are fussy cut and colored using Stampin’ Blends Markers.  The colors used can be found in the product used list at the end of this post. I will say that the pinkish lavender purple flower is a combination of markers, I kept coloring until I achieved a color I liked.  In person it kind of looks like Rich Razzleberry ink water with water added.

After coloring the flowers are popped over the strip panel and the embossed panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A greeting is cropped using a die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I have a page of this greeting and forgot to write in pencil on the back what stamp set I used, so you can use any that you may have. The greeting is then popped across the middle of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A Brushed Brass Butterfly is popped on the edge of the greeting as well as others around the card front.  A bow is created using a length of Pale Papya ribbon left from the March 2022 Paper Pumpkin.

The Basic White inside panel gets flowers applied to the right edge using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of 2022-2024 In Color 6′ x 6″ DSP adhered to the envelope flap.
