Stampin’ Up! Sendinging Smiles with Abigail Rose

My card today is created using dies from the Sending Smile Dies, Abigail Rose DSP, the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder, a length of Natural Finish 3/8″ ribbon, frayed on each end and a variety of Stampin’ Blends Markers and Watercolor Pencils.

My challenge for today is the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge. I choose down the middle.

Another challenge I am entering is Use Your Stuff Challenge — Their theme is A Touch of Gold and my greeting is that touch of Gold.

My card base is Highland Heather card stock with a panel of the same embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder. The panel is then adhered to the card base.

A panel of Basic White card stock is also embossed using the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder. It is for the background of the art piece. The art piece is fussy cut from a panel of Abigail Rose DSP. For coloring I using Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Markers. I also used Melon Mambo, Pacific Point Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive Watercolor Pencils.

A length of Natural Finish 3/8″ ribbon is frayed on each end and adhered down the side of the Basic White Brick & Mortar Embossed panel. A piece of Gold Foil is used to crop the word Sending and Basic White card stock is used for the background. The art piece is popped over the ribbon & embossed panel using Min Stampin’ Dimensionals. I think I literally use 35 there were so many little spots that needed to be popped up. Several Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels are scattered around the card front. Brushed Brass Butterflies are popped on the flowers.

The inside panel gets flowers to match the card front adhered to the Basic White card stock panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Subtle 6″ x 6″ DSP adhered to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Abigail Rose Belated Birthday

The card I am sharing today is created using Abigail Rose DSP and Brilliant Wings Dies along with the Gingham and Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folders.

I am entering the Alphabet Challenge — this challenge is the letter D for Die Cuts.

Another challenge is the Global Design Project — theme Beautiful Bugs.

Another challenge I am entering is the Can You Handle The Pressure — their theme is always Dry/Heating Embossing sometimes with a twist. The twist for this challenge is flowers.

I finally decided on a card base of Basic White after trying Highland Heather and Sweet Sorbet but neither looked just right.

I embossed a separate panel of Basic White card stock using the Gingham 3D Embossing Folder. I also embossed a panel using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

Flowers from Abigail Rose DSP are colored using Stampin’ Blends Markers (colors in product list at end) and Water color Pencils. Next, they are fussy cut. Greenery is punched from Old Olive card stock using the Bough Punch. The butterfly is cropped using one of the butterfly dies from the Brilliant Wings Dies, it is then colored using a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue and Old Olive ink.

The card is then put together with the first layer being the embossed panel, next comes the stripe panel, from an old Paper Pumpkin kit, a strip of Bermuda Bay card stock is adhered behind the striped panel so as to not have it look like it melts into the Basic White card stock. next the Timeworn Type embossed panel finally the flowers are popped over the last panel and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals. The butterfly is popped in the corner. The greeting is from a retired stamp set.

Sending Hugs with A Recipe For Subtle Beauty AYSI

Today I’m sharing my card as Guest Designer for the new challenge over at As you See It Challenge. I used Blossoms instead of Boats, Bears, and Balloons for my B.

I am also entering my card with NBUS – use Never Before Used Schtuff

I started with a card base of Basic White card stock with a panel of the same embossed using the Ferns 3D Embossing Folder. I emboss a separate panel because I have ruined too many card fronts trying to emboss using the entire card. It is so much easier to emboss, then adhere to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I colored flowers from Perfectly Penciled DSP using the Stampin’ Blends in the Subtle Colors. I found it interesting that I colored the inside flowers with the same Blends yet they are a different color.

After coloring the flowers, I fussy cut and popped over the Subtle 6″ x 6″ DSP panel adhered over the Ferns 3D Embossed panel. This panel is matted on a piece of Balmy Blue from the same Subtle pack. I colored several Rhinestone Basic Jewels using the Dark Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends Marker and randomly popped them around the card front. A length of Crumb Cake twine from the Twine Essential Pack is adhered under the flowers on one end of the card.

I colored more flowers for the inside panel. A panel of Basic White card stock gets a strip of the Subtle 6′ x 6″ DSP applied along the bottom, the flowers are adhered over the strip using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles Stamp Set and Sending Dies along with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.

My card design is from TGIF Challenges.

I am also entering the Tic Tac Toe Challenge. My card can down the left side or diagonally from Embossing to Floral.

I started with a Night of Navy card stock card base. I added a layer of Basic White card stock embossed using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I added a layer of Neutral 6′ x 6″ DSP. One is a strip, the other is the reverse side of the strip. The polka dot panel is embossed using a panel from the Sun Prints DSP. The final layer is another panel of Basic White card stock embossed using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.

The flowers are stamped in Balmy Blue ink and Starry Sky ink along with Old Olive ink for the leaves. Since my dog punch is still in storage someplace, I stamped the dog from the Happy Trails stamp set and fussy cut it and the one for the inside panel.

The word Sending is cropped from Balmy Blue card stock and adhered to the Basic White Shadow of it then popped across the front of the card at an angle. One of the greetings is popped under it and the other is popped beside it. A bow is made using the Starry Sky ribbon.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Happy Tails a long-retired stamp set is used as it is the only one I had for losing a pet. My sister lost her fur baby to cancer this week so this card is for her.

Stampin’ Up! Happy HedgeHog and Sweet Songbirds

The card I am sharing today is a combination of two stamp sets, Stampin’ Up! Happy Hedgehogs for the art piece and Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds for the greeting and sentiment. I also used Basic Borders Dies to give a decorative edge to the art piece.

Today, I am entering the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge — their theme for this challenge is Any Occasion.

My card has many layers today starting with a Bermuda Bay card stock card base, adding a layer of Basic White card stock, a layer of Early Espresso card stock as a mat for the art piece, and a strip of Bermuda Bay card stock cropped using a die from the Basic Borders Dies.

My art piece is watercolored so there are no dark borders showing, I used Sahara Sand ink, stamping off once leaving only a faint outline when stamped. Barely touching the end of a Water Painter to the ink pads I colored the flowers with Daffodil Delight ink, the tree trunk with Early Espresso ink, and the leaves with a mixture of Old Olive and Granny Apple Green ink. The center of the flowers I colored using a Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Marker. The bird is Melon Mambo and Balmy Blue ink.

I colored a length of Pool Party Sheer Ribbon using a Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends Marker. The ribbon is wrapped around all layers and tied in a knot giving the appearance of a bow. Jewels are popped around the card front and then the layered pieces are adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds stamp set is stamped in Night of Navy ink in the upper corner of the art piece.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets a bird from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Hedgehogs stamp set stamped in Sahara Sand ink in the lower corner along with a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds Stamp Set also stamped in Sahara Sand ink.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of the Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP adhered to the envelope flap.
