Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Just A Card…

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Just A Card…

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest stamp set and the Hand Penned DSP.  My card is a CAS of Mary Deatherage.

Since this is a fun fold I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge, it is always a fun fold and they are my favorite but don’t always make.

The first thing I did was to score and cut a panel of Soft Succulent card stock.  You can see the diagram above for scoring and cutting.   Put the short side (the 5-1/2″ side) in the Paper Trimmer, I cut the card stock 1-1/2″ from the edge of the card stock, from the first score line down to the third score line.  You need to turn the paper around and do the same on the other side. 1-1/2″ cut on both sides from score line to score line.

You can see in the diagram above how to fold after scoring and cutting.

This is how the card looks out flat to add the mats and DSP. I should have taken a picture before I added the flower piece and greeting.

Here are the card cuts which are usually at the end of the post.  You will need the following.

  • Soft Succulent card stock — this is the card base. Cut 5-12″ x 8-1/2″  — score, cut and fold according to the diagram above.
  • Basic Black card stock
    • mats for the DSP pieces –( cut 2) mats 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″
    • mats for the DSP — (cut 4)  1-1/4″ x 1-7/8″
  • Hand Penned DSP
    • (cut 2) 1-3/4″ x 5-1/8″
    • (cut 2) 1-3/4″ x 2-1/8″
    • (cut 4) 1-1/8″ x 1-3/4″  I used two different patterns for this as I wanted to add other elements to these panels.
  • Basic White card stock
    • front panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″ I used the next to the largest Scalloped Contour Dies to crop this piece.
    • envelope flat — 2-1/4″ x 6″
  • Highland Heather card stock used to crop the flowers using a die from the Tulip Dies

You can see from the diagram how the mats and DSP are put together and adhered to the card base.

I colored the Scalloped Contour cropped piece using Soft Succulent, Daffodil Delight ink, and a Blending Brush. Stamped grass in Soft Succulent ink.  I stamped a flower image from Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest stamp set in Highland Heather ink, I stamped again in Soft Succulent ink.  I fussy cut all the pieces and paper pieced to get the flowers the way I wanted.  I used Mini Glue Dots to adhered the flower heads to the stems.   The flower piece is popped on the colored panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Special Moments stamp set is stamped in Soft Succulent ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and cropped with a die long retired but any die could be used that fits the greeting.  Brushed Brass Butterflies are popped in several spot on the card along with Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Hand Penned DSP applied to the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are in the post instead of at the end of the post as they usually are.

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips A Little Note

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips A Little Note

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tullip stamp set.  I also use a die from the Ornate Frame Dies, the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder,  and Flowering Tulips DSP.

My challenge for the day is the Krafty Chicks Challenge.

My card base is Basic White card stock.  I embossed a panel of Poppy Parade card stock using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder adhering it to the card base.

A strip of Flowering Fields DSP is cut and adhered down the left side over the embossed panel. A piece of Basic White card stock is cropped using a die from the Ornate Frame Dies. It is adhered over the Flowering Fields DSP.

On a piece of Basic White card stock tulip images from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulip stamp set is stamped in Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive, and Early Espresso ink.  As each flower was stamped, I stamped Versa Mark over the image, sprinkled Clear Embossing Powder over the image, and heat embossed.  I did this to give the tulips a bit of a shine, you can see it in some of the pictures.  This piece is matted on Old Olive card stock and popped over the Ornate Frame panel with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Crumb Cake twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack is wrapped around the panel before it is adhered.  A tiny tag from the Tailor Made Tags is stamped with a greeting and tied with the end of the twine and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional is used to pop the tag up.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Flowering Fields DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Dahlia Days

Stampin’ Up! Dahlia Days

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Dahlia Days stamp set along with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

My challenge today is with the Daisy Chain Challenges. Birthday is the theme.

My card base is Basic White card stock, I have embossed a panel of the same card stock using the Timetorn Type 3D Embossing Folder.  It is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of Magenta Madness card stock is cropped using the largest dies from the Scalloped Contour Dies.  A panel of Basic White card stock is cropped using the next to largest die from the Scalloped Contour Dies.  The Magenta Madness panel is embossed using the same Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.  The two panels are adhered together and then adhered to the card front.

Using stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Dahlia Days stamp set, I stamped the flowers in Magenta Madness ink on Basic White card stock. I stamped the leaves in Just Jade ink. I cropped them using dies from the Detailed Dahlia Dies.  A length of Gold Fine Art ribbon is colored using a Just Jade Stampin’ Blends Marker and adhered across the Basic White panel before the flowers and greeting are adhered to the Basic White panel. The flowers, leaves, and gold foliage are adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Mini Glue Dots for others. I added bits of gold foliage leftover from other cards.  Genial Gems are added to the dahlia centers, a Brushed Brass Butterfly is added to the greeting panel and a larger butterfly is added beside the top dahlia.

A panel of Magenta Madness card stock is embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder and adhered to the card base.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon stamp set is stamped in Just Jade ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and cropped using a die from the Scalloped Contour Dies.  Two small flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Dahlia Days stamp set are stamped in Magenta Madness ink, the leaves are stamped in Just Jade ink.  They are popped in the corner of the sentiment panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of 2021-2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Ever Eden Happy Easter

Stampin’ Up! Ever Eden Happy Easter

The card I am sharing today is created using Ever Eden DSP, Eden Dies and the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.

My challenge for the day is the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday Challenge.  This is an interesting sketch.

My card base is Basic White card stock.  I embossed a panel of Basic White card stock using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. I cut strips from the Ever Eden DSP, flagged each end, and adhered to the embossed panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I cropped a banner for the piece using a die from Eden Dies.  As I was popping the banner across the card front, I envisioned it as the disciples sitting at the Last Supper.  The way the flowers lean, it looks like the silhouette of someone leaning toward the person next to them.  The cross is one from a retired dies set, Stampin’ Up! Cross of Hope Framelit Dies leftover from making Easter cards.  I popped Brushed Brass Butterflies on the card front in several places and also added several of the Metallic Pearls also.

A panel of Basic White card stock is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink with a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream stamp set.  Another banner is cropped from a strip of Ever Eden DSP and adhered across the bottom using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Eden Evergreen DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home Sending A Little Message

Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home Sending A Little Message

The card I am sharing today is again made using the Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home stamp set, along with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.

My challenge for today is the Can You Handle The Pressure – their all-time theme is Day/Heat Embossing.

Also, the Krafty Chicks Challenge — anything goes

My card base is Basic White card stock. The art piece was cropped using the next to the largest  Scalloped Contour Dies.  I used the negative as a frame for the piece.  I embossed it using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.

I colored the art panel using Old Olive and Misty Moonlight ink using Blending Brushes.  I stamped some of the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home stamp set and cropped some from the Honeybee Blooms Dies.  I colored all using Stampin’ Blends Markers in Poppy Parade, So Saffron, Highland Heather, and Soft Succulent.

I arranged the flowers on the art panel, took a picture so I would remember the arrangement, then adhered them to the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I colored a length of a scrap of ribbon with a Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Marker, making a bow after drying.  I thought being an alcohol marker it would dry very quick, I found that out by getting the ink on my fingers.  I made a bow and popped it over the flowers on the art panel.  I popped the art panel back into the negative portion that is the frame.  This is a good way to save card stock if you are cropping a piece, use the negative portion and it looks like an added layer.

The greeting is from a stamp set I received for OnTour so I am not sure about showing it.  I stamped it in Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock then fussy cut it to match the shape of the greeting. Using a Blending Brush I brushed Misty Moonlight ink over the greeting.  Using a Wink of Stella pen, I flicked the clear Stella over the card from giving it sparkle, you can see it in certain spots on the card front, all to do with the light shining on the card.   I put Wink of Stella all over the bee and popped him at the top of the flowers.

I cropped another panel of Basic White card stock and colored it as I had colored the art piece for the card front.  I stamped the greeting in Memento Black ink along with the flower.  I colored the flower using So Saffron and Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends Markers.

A medium Basic White envelope gets stamped with stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles stamp set to the envelope flap using Old Olive ink.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are in the post instead of at the end of the post as they usually are.
