Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow
Happy Labor Day weekend all! Not to happy for the people in Florida prayers and thoughts are with them and all the people caught up in the horrible weather. Maybe it will just turn and blow its self out to sea.
My card today has the same design I believe as the one yesterday, guess I am stuck on that design.
My challenges are with Hand Stamped Sentiments.
And… Dream Valley Challenges — Buttons or Bows
And… Watercooler Wednesday Challenges — Heidi’s “All Occasions”.
Three great challenges, I hope to see your post on each one.

My card starts with a Stampin’ Up! Rococo Rose card stock base with mats of Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Bliss card stock and Stampin’ Up! Smoky Slate card stock.
The art panel is a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock and one of the flower images from the Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink. A circle is then cropped from the panel using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Shapes Dies. I realize now that it would have been much easier to color if I had colored and then cut.
I colored the flowers using Stampin’ Up! Classic Stampin’ Pads in Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Rocco Rose, Smoky Slate and a Stampin’ Up! Blender Pen. It is amazing the color you can create using a Blender Pen. The hearts are cropped using Stampin’ Up! Stitched Label Dies. They are cropped in Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Rococo Rose, Blushing Bride, and Smokey Slate. A small spot was embossed on the card front under the hearts using one of the dies from the Stitched Label Dies.
The greeting stamped on the circle is from the Stampin’ Up! Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink. Three pearls from the Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels are placed on the circle also. The bow is made using Stampin’ Up! Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Glue Dots.
The inside sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink. The flowers are from the Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow Stamp Set and are colored using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils in Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, and Flirty Flamingo to get the color of pink I wanted. Once again, I used a Blender Pen to smooth the colors.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

Happy Friday everyone, many have a three day weekend and I am sure you are planning a fun time since there is an extra day. This weekend is like the official end of summer and everyone is thinking of the long usually school year ahead. I know many schools do not start until the day after Labor Day, as it should be. Children do not need to go to school in the hot of summer. I think the school system here started the last week of July. That is much too early. The school I worked at for 9 years starts the day after Labor Day. That’s enough lamenting about the school systems. Have a glorious weekend as you relax and have fun with family and friends.
The card I am sharing today is one I haven’t used before, I’ve picked it up, looked at it and put it back on the shelf, so I thought it was time to give it a try. It is the Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles Stamp Set. I have seen so many pretty cards made using it.
My card starts with a Stampin’ Up! Sahara Sand card stock base. Next up is a Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock card stock mat for the focal panel which is a panel of Stampin’ Up! Woven Threads Designer Series Paper cropped using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Rectangle Dies. These are adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The Woven Threads DSP panel being the focal panel is stamped using Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock ink and the Stamping’ Up! Very Versailles Stamp Set. Once stamped, a circle die from the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Shapes Dies is used to cut a circle from the panel. This circle will be added back to the opening using Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals once the 1″ strip of the Woven Threads DSP is partially adhered over the opening of the circle.
A bow is made using Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread. It is adhered using a Stampin’ Up! Mini Glue Dot. A single butterfly to give just a pop of color to the card is punch from a scrap of the Woven Threads DSP and popped on the circle using a Glue Dot.
The greeting is added in the left corner of the panel using Stampin’ Up! Sahara Sand ink and a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Around The Corner Stamp Set. I like this stamp set and have cut other stamps apart to achieve the same effect as this stamp set gives. I store these stamps along with this set so I will know where they are when needed for a card. Three Adhesive Backed Sequins are placed randomly around the card front.
The inside sentiment panel is Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla card stock matted on a panel of the Pretty Peacock card stock and stamped with stamps from the Very Versaille Stamp Set in Pretty Peacock ink.
The envelope flap has been given a panel of the Woven Threads DSP. It coordinates with the strip on the card front.

I think the card I am sharing today turned out lovely. I thought it was going to be one of those blah! cards but no it isn’t.

The card base is Whisper White, the mat embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder is Whisper White, the lace panel cut using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Lace Dies is Whisper White.
The rose is stamped on a 3″ square of Whisper White using Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler ink and the rose stamp from the Stampin’ Up! To A Wild Rose Stamp Set. The first stamping is full strength, the second is stamped off once to get the lighter color. The berry branch is stamped using Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake ink and using a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Bundle. Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler and Pear Pizzazz inks are used along with a Stampin’ Up! Blender Pen to color the berries and leaves.

The card I am sharing today is from Stampin’ Up! Born to Shine Stamp Set. This stamp is ballet and you can see why I need a card with a ballerina on it. When we think of the University of Alabama we always think football, but they have a great school of dance that you never hear about unless you have a dancer.
