Amy’s Inkin’ Krew April Blog Hop

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew April Blog Hop

Welcome everyone—it’s that time —  the second Tuesday of the month— and that means it is time for our Inkin’ Krew monthly team blog hop.  It is going to be exciting to see what all the other team members have created.  I know you are going to see lots of ideas and inspiration for your own creations.   Our theme for April is “Feminine”  we can interpret any way we choose!  Now on to the hop!  Enjoy!!

I have chosen the Beauty Abounds stamp set for my creation today.  I’m hoping it passes the feminine test with the pink and lavender.

One of the challenges for today is the Paper Players as my card has lavender checks.

And…  the Sisterhood of Crafters with Celebrate Spring as their challenge.  Butterflies are spring.

And last but not least… Fusion  Sketch  Challenge.

My card is basically Whisper White card stock, as the base is Whisper White and the focal art panel is Whisper White with a border from the Gingham Gala 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and a top header from a panel of Highland Heather card stock that has been embossed with the Subtle TIEF.

This looks like an easy card, but for some reason, it was not so with me, I kept having to stamp the image again and could not decide on which butterflies to use. After three tries I had success.

I used the Delicate Lace Edgelits to make a lace border between the Whisper White focal panel and the Gingham Gala lavender panel.  The image was stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on the Whisper White panel.  I colored the flower flourish using Light Highland Heather, Light Balmy Blue, and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends pens.  For the butterflies, I used Coastal Cabana ink and Melon Mambo ink.  I stamped the Melon Mambo ink off once to give it a softer pink color instead of a bright pink.

The butterflies are popped around the flourish using Mini Stampin Dimensionals that are cut in half as the butterflies are too small for even a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.  The greeting is stamped in Highland Heather ink on a leftover circle from the March Paper Pumpkin.  It too is popped on the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A bow is made using Whisper White Twine and popped on the flourish with a Glue Dot.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Highland Heather on a panel of Whisper White card stock and matted on a panel of Highland Heather card stock and then adhered to the Whisper White card base.  A butterfly is stamped three times in the corner of the panel without re-inking the stamp.

Strong and Beautiful Detailed with Love

Strong and Beautiful Detailed with Love

My card today is created using the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper and the Strong and Beautiful and Detailed with Love stamp sets.

My inspiration today is from the As You See It Challenge–the challenge is Starburst and Lace.

And…

This card is a really easy and simple card.  The card base is from Smokey Slate card stock with a Blushing Bride mat for the focal panel of flowers from the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (DSP).

A length of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon is wrapped around the focal panel and mat and tied in a bow.  Using the Delicate Lace Edgelits a piece is cut to add a bit of lacy edging to the bottom of the floral focal panel.  Seems I have used this  DSP a lot this week.OK

The greeting is stamped in Smokey Slate on a circle of Whisper White card stock that is matted with another circle that is cut from Smokey Slate card stock.  It is popped on the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Three  Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins are added to the greeting on the card front.

A floral panel is cut from the Petal Promenade DSP and the sentiment is stamped in Smokey Slate ink.  The sentiment is from the Strong and Beautiful stamp set and is adhered with Liquid Glue to the Blushing Bride mat which is then adhered to the Smokey Slate card base.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Hope you love my card as much as I loved making it.  Have a blessed day!

His Grace

His Grace

My card today is created using the His Grace stamp set. It is a lovely stamp set and perfect for Easter.

My design today comes from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge for this week.

It starts with a Whisper White card base and then two layers of mats.  The Highland Heather mat shows through the cross.  The Mossy Meadow and Highland Heather card stock are adhered together using Liquid Glue.  Take a panel of Sahara Sand or Crumb Cake card stock and using one of the Cross of Hope Framelits Dies to cut the cross in the center of the panel.

I stamped the flower garland twice around the cross using Crumb Cake ink.  I then used the White Watercolor pencil from the Watercolor Pencil set to color all the flowers and leaves and then used a Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather Stampin’ Write Marker to color the flowers and leaves  Using the White Watercolor pencil first allows for a softer color.

The Crumb Cake panel is adhered to the Highland Heather panel using Liquid Glue, then the cross is glued into the spot where it had been cut.  A length of Linen Thread is wrapped around the three panels and attached on the back with  Glue Dots.  A bow is made and popped in the center of the three strands of thread with a Glue Dot.

The greeting is stamped in Highland Heather ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock.  It was cut out the shape of the stamp using Paper Snips.  By accident, it became popped where it is.  I was interrupted and not thinking laid the greeting down to go take care of what interrupted me, when I returned it was stuck tight so I had to leave in this spot.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock and matted on a Highland Heather panel which is then adhered to the Whisper White card base. Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather Stampin’ Write Markers were used coloring the flower flourish from the Hold on to Hope stamp set.  I colored each flower and leave individually and since I was using Stampin’ Write Markers to color.  I would color a flower or leave and then stamp.  Took a bit of time, but it turned out great.

Thank you for stopping by today.  My wish is for your encouragement and inspiration in your own creations from visiting here.  Hope your day has been blessed!

You Are Stronger Than Most!

You Are Stronger Than Most!

My card today is from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set.  I was reluctant to buy this set only the DSP but a friend gifted this to me and I am so happy she did.  It has turned out to be a favorite.

My design and inspiration come from the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge for the week, designed by Brian King.

Don’t you think this is a beautiful combination, a panel of the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (DSP), the Quilting Top Embossing Folder and Delicate Lace  Edgelits? I have used this DSP so much that I ordered for a third time  —  to me, it is simply stunning.  Here is a look at the colors and pattern of the Petal Promenade DSP.

Blushing Bride, Fresh Fig,  Grapefruit Grove,
Highland Heather, Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink, Sahara Sand, Smokey Slate, Tranquil Tide, Very Vanilla, Whisper White

Can you pick out all the colors in the DSP?

The card base is Mossy Meadow card stock with a panel of Whisper White next that has been embossed using the Quilting Top Embossing Folder.

A panel is cut from the Petal Promenade DSP and then cut on a diagonal.  One of the dies from the  Delicate Lace Edgelits is used to cut the lace edge that is separating the Whisper White embossed panel and the Petal Promenade panel. It is adhered to the Petal Promenade panel and then to the Whisper White embossed panel using Liquid Glue.

The greeting and flower motif from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set are stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut out using one of the Layering Circle Framelits which has a Mossy Meadow mat.

The inside sentiment from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and adhered using Liquid Glue.

Thanks for stopping by today.  My hope is that you find encouragement and inspiration in your own creations.  Have a blessed day!

Lots of Happy with Tea Together

Lots of Happy with Tea Together

I have been wanting to make a card using the teapot for the vase for a while and I finally got to it.  My card is created using the Tea Together stamp set and the Lots of Happy card kit.  It was fun making and arranging the flowers.

My inspirations comes from the  Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge.  I always enjoying doing Tic-Tac-Toe

And … The Sisterhood of Crafters  Celebrate  Spring.

Such a pretty little card starts with a Thick Whisper White card stock base.  A panel from the Floral Romance Designer Series Paper is adhered over the Whisper White card base using Glue Dots on each corner and in the middle of the panel.

The flowers are colored using Stampin’ Blends Pens in  Light Balmy Blue, Light Real Red, Light Highland Heather, Light Mango Melody, Light and Dark Granny Apple Green and the Color Lifter.

Using my paper snips, I clipped and snipped until the flowers were right for arranging the same as you would real flowers.  The flowers are held together with many Glue Dots they are then attached to the teapot using more Glue Dots.  The teapot has been embossed using the Softly Falling  Textured Impression Embossing Folder (TIEF).

The teapot of flowers is then popped on the beautiful Floral Romance DSP panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A single rose is popped on the bottom of the teapot as if it has fallen from the pot, you can even see the empty spot left by it falling from the pot.  Several enamel sequins from the Metallic Sequin Assortment are scattered over the Floral Romance panel.   Can you believe, I could not find a stamp that said Happy Easter, so I went to my trusty computer and created one.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink on a panel of the Floral Romance DSP, which just happens to be a beautiful piece of vellum.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you find inspirations for your own creations.  Have a blessed day!
