Stampin Up’s Pear Pizzazz and Blackberry Bliss

These two colors makes a good combination for a simple easy card.

Inspiration comes from the challenge this week by CAS(E) This Sketch

This is the paper used in creating my card. Available for purchase today as this is the first day for ordering from the 2018 Holiday Catalog.

This card is so simple, I am giving the card cuts below and that is all you need for putting together. Pear Pizzazz is the card base. 11 x 4-1/4. Scored at 5-1/2. Embossed with Subtle Embossing Folder.

Rich Razzleberry cardstock — cut 1-3/4 x 4-1/4. It is the mat for the Frosted Floral piece. 2-3/4 x 1-1/2 piece cut for the mat of the tree from the Winter Woods Stamp Bundle–available September 5 in the 2018 Holiday catalog. I used a white gel pen to write the greeting “Thanks”.
Frosted Floral DSP — cut 1-1/2 x 4-1/4. Three strips cut for the inside sentiment panel.
Whisper White cardstock — cut 4 x 5-1/4– Sentiment from the Thankful Thoughts Stamp Set.

Stampin Up Very Vintage

Happy Labor Day! Hope your day is going grand.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Very Vintage stamp set and the Daisy Delight stamp set from annual catalog to create my card for the Sunday Stamps Sketch Challenge and the Color Throwdown Challenge this week. I just happened upon the Sunday Stamps challenge by chance, you know you click on a link and it take you to a different site. After looking around, I thought why not play along, so I added it to the Color Throwdown #508.

My card has a Highland Heather card base.

Here is the sketch for the Sunday Stamps and the Color Throwdown.

I started by adhering a panel from the Under the Mistletoe to a panel of Real Red card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then I adhered a smaller piece of the Under The Mistletoe to a panel of Old Olive card stock with the liquid glue and then popped it over the first DSP panel using Stampin Dimensionals. I trimmed the overhang so that it was even with the larger DSP panel. I adhered all this layered DSP panel to a Highland Heather card base.

I stamped the greeting from the Daisy Delight stamp set on a strip of Old Olive card stock. My art piece is stamped on a panel of Whisper White cut using the Layered Oval Framelits. I used Stampin Blend markers to color the art piece. I colored three Basic Jewels with my Real Red and Old Olive Stampin Blends and adhered them to the card front to add a little bling.

I did not put an inside sentiment and I will write a personal note to the person this card goes to. I added two strip of the Under the Mistletoe DSP to the Whisper White panel.

Stampin Up Frosted Floral DSP

I started this challenge with Freshly Made Sketches earlier in the week when the challenge was first posted but just could not come up with the right stamp to use for the circle in the challenge. And then— a new shipment arrived from Stampin Up on Friday with the Frosted Floral DSP inside. Looking through the sheets of DSP, there was one that caught my attention and I knew I had found my circle for the challenge.

You can see the DSP here that I used. You are getting a Sneak Peak of the paper in the 2018 Holiday catalog.

My inspiration for this card as you read earlier is from Freshly Made Sketches.I used a card base of Rich Razzleberry, embossing the front using the Subtle embossing folder. I think I have been using this embossing folder a lot lately.

I then cut a 2-3/4-inch circle from Blackberry Bliss using the Layer Circle Framelits. I cut a 3 – inch circle using the silver side of the Frosted Floral DSP. From the Frosted Floral DSP, a rose was fussy cut along with some leaves. This was adhered to the center of the Blackberry Bliss circle and the circle was popped onto the Frosted Floral DSP circle using Stampin Dimensionals. This Frosted Floral circle was popped onto the Rich Razzleberry card base using Stamping Dimensionals again.

I then cut a strip of the Frosted Floral Silver side 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 and a strip 1-3/4 x 4-1/4 of the Blackberry Bliss for the mat. I stamp “Thanks” on a small rectangle using Versa Mark and heat embossed with Stampin Silver Embossing Powder. I popped this onto the silver strip. I added 3 pearls from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.

The inside sentiment panel of Whisper White has a tiny strip of the Frosted Floral DSP down the left side. The sentiment “not only your thoughtful gift…” is from the Thankful Thoughts Stamp Set.
