Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Christmas Card

The card I am sharing today is another poinsettia but instead of stamping and cropping, I used the dies to crop poinsettias from Basic White card stock, leaves were cut from Garden Green card stock, and edges of leaves were colored using Garden Green ink.  I also used Painted Christmas DSP and strips from a Red Foil Sheet.

My design inspiration for today is the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge.

The card base is Garden Green card stock. A panel of the Painted Christmas DSP is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.   A strip of Tidings of Christmas DSP is adhered vertically over the Painted Christmas DSP.

The poinsettia is cropped from Basic White card stock. Coloring is done using a blending brush and Merry Merlot ink.  It creates a nice pink. Leaves and other greenery are cropped using dies from the Poinsettia Dies and Intricate Leaves Dies. A dry arrangement is created to see how the placement is to be, before applying the adhesive.

The poinsettia and greenery are adhered over the vertical DSP using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A length of the gold twine is wrapped around three times and adhered with a glue dot.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer is stamped on a scrap of Basic White card stock in Merry Merlot ink, then fussy cut and popped on the front corner.

The inside Basic White panel is trimmed with a piece of the Painted Christmas DSP.  A poinsettia is stamped in Smoky Slate ink in the center of the panel.  A sentiment will later be stamped over the poinsettia.

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Merry Christmas

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Merry Christmas

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set, Poinsettia Dies, Wintery 3-D Embossing Folder, Merry Merlot card stock, Copper Foil Sheet, Basic White card stock, and Garden Green card stock.  Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels are scattered around the card front.  This is a CAS(E) of Debbie O’Neil

Inspiration comes from the Festive Friday Challenge.  I am choosing flowers, embossing, pastel colors (poinsettia is a pastel soft color), shimmer(the gold embossing and rhinestones give the shimmer.)

Also, the Paper Players Challenge.   I chose the bottom row foil, embossing, and embellishments.

Start with a Merry Merlot card base.  Cut the card stock 4-1/4″ x 8-1/4″.  Score the card stock base at 5-1/2″ score and fold.  This will create your fun fold.

Cut a panel of Basic White card stock 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″.  Emboss this panel using the Wintery 3-D Embossing Folder.  Cut a 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″  panel from a Copper Foil Sheet.  This is the mat for the Basic White square.  Adhere the Basic White square to the Copper Foil Square using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Using the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petal Stamp Set, stamp the three largest poinsettias using Versa Mark ink and Copper Embossing Powder. After stamping with the Versa Mark, sprinkle Copper Embossing Powder and heat emboss using your heat tool.  Put several drops of Merry Merlot ink on a surface that you can add water from a Water Painter.  Make the water and ink a light pink, you can see the color of my poinsettia, or maybe you want your poinsettia darker.  Crop the poinsettias using dies from the Poinsettia Dies.  Crop leaves from Garden Green card stock, brushing the leaf edges using Garden Green ink gives the leaves some depth.  Crop the berries from a Copper Foil Sheet.  Dry arrange your poinsettia with the leaves and berries, take a picture (tip from Mary Deatherage) so you know how your arrangement looks when you adhered the adhesives.

Cut a panel of Basic White card stock and a panel of Copper Foil Sheet as the mat for the panel.  Stamp Merry Christmas at the bottom of the Basic White panel so it will show when the card front is folded down.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.  The card cut for this post are in the body of the post as you need the measurements to create the card as you create it.

Stampin’ Up! In The Moment You’re in My Thoughts Card

Stampin’ Up! In The Moment You’re in My Thoughts Card

Preview (opens in a new tab)

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! In The Moment Stamp Set (available January 3, 2021), along with the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer Stamp Set.

My inspiration from the Card Concept Challenge is the plaid and the green tree outside the fence.

I am also entering the Watercooler Wednesday Dawn’s Challenge — the theme is All Things Feminine.

My card base is Basic White card stock .  A panel of the Peaceful Prints DSP is cut for each panel of the Z-fold card. Trees from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer Stamp Set is stamped in Garden Green ink on three panels of Basic White card stock.  They are then adhered to the black and red panels.  Using one of the stamps from the Stampin’ Up! In The Moment Stamp Set, I stamped it on a panel of Basic White card stock.

I also stamped it on a scrap of the black and red DSP and fussy cut the lady’s shirt and adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I colored the remaining parts using Watercolor Pencils.  After coloring, I fussy cut the image.  It was a bit of a chore cutting around the window panes.  Using Misty Mountain ink and a water painter, I color-washed all the Basic White card stock panels before stamping the trees on them.

I drew a design and fussy cut it, stamped trees on it and adhered the image of the lady.  I colored three Rhinestone Basic Jewels using a Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker, popping them on the fussy cut piece with the lady.

A sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! In The Moment Stamp Set is stamped in Garden Green ink on the Basic White card stock panel. Trees from the Stampin’ Up!  Peaceful Deer Stamp Set are stamped across the bottom of the panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets trees from Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer Stamp Set stamped on the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Hello There Card

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Hello There Card

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set. Along with this stamp set I also used the Timber 3-D Embossing Folder.  This is a semi CAS(E) of a beautiful card Amy Koenders received.  Since it is Fall, I thought perhaps I should make it Fallish.  Fall colors are not my color season, I am a winter season with maybe a little spring.  That’s why most of my cards are bright or soft and cheery.  Which color season are you?   Do you make the majority of your cards your color season?

Inspiration for today’s card is the Double “D” Challenge.  Their theme is sunflowers.

My card base is Pale Papya card stock.  I embossed a panel of Early Espresso card stock with the Timber 3-D Embossing Folder and it will be adhered to the card base after all the other elements of the card are adhered or popped on this panel.

A panel of the Heart & Home DSP is matted on a panel of Pale Papya card stock, then adhered to the embossed panel.  Sunflowers are stamped onto Basic White card stock using  Saddle Brown Stazon ink.  The sunflowers are colored using So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Pale Papya, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Using the Sunflower Dies foliage and sunflowers are cropped from Basic White card stock.   The sunflowers are cut in half and adhered to the top and bottom of the embossed panel in opposite corners.  Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped around the card front.

A greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Eden’s Garden Stamp Set (available November 2) is stamped in Early Espresso ink, fussy cut, and popped in the middle of the embossed panel.  The embossed panel is now adhered to the card base and your card front is finished.

I typed the sentiment and printed on Basic White card stock.  Victoria Pohlar put this on FB a few days ago and I thought how appropriate for all of my hello cards.  I’m hoping she doesn’t mind that I copied it.  A sunflower is popped in the corner of the panel and the panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Heart &Home DSP applied to the envelope flap.

The card I am sharing today is created using the new Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Stamp Set (available January 2022), so you are getting an early sneak peek of one of the stamp sets that will be in the 2022 Mini Catalog .  Also, used in creating this card is the Stitched Greenery Die, the Tasteful Textile 3-D Embossing Folder, and Stampin’ Blends Markers

The Fusion Card Challenge is the inspiration for my card’s design today.  I am doing the sketch portion of the challenge.

My card base is Basic White card stock with a panel of the same, embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3-D Embossing Folder.

A panel of Garden Green card stock is embossed using the Stitched Greenery Die and popper over the Basic White embossed panel.  This Garden Green panel has three different strips from the Heart and Home DSP adhered at the bottom of the panel.

A panel of Basic White card stock is stamped using Smoky Slate ink with a flower die from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Stamp Set.  The flower is colored using Pale Papya, Fresh Freesia, Old Olive, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers. A few loops of Crumb Cake twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack are adhered to the back of the flowers. are It is then popped on the card front over the three Heart and Home strips.

A greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Eden’s Garden Stamp Set is stamped in Garden Green ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut and popped on the card front.

A panel of Basic White card stock is matted on a panel of Garden Green card stock after having a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Stamp Set stamped on it in Garden Green ink.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Heart and Home DSP applied to the envelope flap.
