Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Christmas Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Stamp Set and the Merriest Frames Embossing Folder.  This set comes with three pieces: the Merriest Moments Stamp Set, the Hybrid Embossing Folder, and the 16 Dies included in the Hybrid Embossing Folder and you get all these dies even if you purchase the embossing folder without the stamp set.  What does Hybrid mean, it indicates this embossing folder has a coordinating die that can be run through with the embossing folder, at the same time!   There are two different dies that you can put through the embossing machine that enclose in the embossing folder.

The challenge I am joining today is the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge.  I choose across the bottom, die-cut, sequins/gems, red.

I started by embossing a panel of Basic White card stock using the folder.  The picture shows two ways of doing this.  You can emboss a panel of card stock and do no cropping or you can crop using the dies enclosed in the embossing folder.  I did the second one for this card as you will see as we go on.

You can see how the die is placed around the embossed piece if you forget to enclose it in the embossing folder before you emboss it.  The piece on the right side is cropped using the more intricate die.

This is the die that crops the more intricate piece.  The label die can be used to cut the label out of the center as you crop the other piece.

I used this die to crop the background piece for the embossed piece that has been cropped using the intricate die to do so.  You can see the background piece and how it fits in the next picture.

I cropped the background piece from a panel of Tiding of Christmas 6″ x 6″ DSP.  Glue is adhered to the middle of the cropped piece so the foliage would have a bit of movement.  It is then adhered to a panel of Evening Evergreen card stock that has also been embossed using the Hybrid Embossing Folder, it has not been cropped so you can see the snowflakes around the edges.

My design is thanks to several people from Pinterest, among them is our leader, Amy Koenders, who had achieved a great milestone, one we all aspire to, she now joins the elite ranks of those who has achieved the 1M or more in sales. Along with Amy, there is Mary Deatherage, Jaimie Barbarczy, Jenny Hayward, Australia, I watched several of her videos,  Diana Gibbs, and many more.  Thank you ladies for your ideas and help in learning how to use all these dies and the embossing folder.  I suppose that is why it has taken me so long to make a card with this set, I have been watching videos.

The poinsettia is stamped in Real Red ink on a panel of Basic White along with holly leaves stamped in Soft Succulent ink and the other greenery is stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink. Twigs and stems are cropped from Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent card stock using a die from the Poinsettia Dies.  The center of seeds in the center of the poinsettia are stamped in Memento Black ink.

I stamped two of the large poinsettias and one small and layered them using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  All are arranged in the corner of the card front over the embossed piece.  Holly leaves and berries are popped in the opposite corner at the top.  Three red Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped on the card front.  The greeting is stamped in Real Red ink a, fussy cut and popped on the card front with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Tidings of Christmas 6′ x 6″ DSP applied to the envelope flap using liquid glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.
