Amy’s Inkin’ Krew December Blog Hop– “Celebrate”

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew December Blog Hop– “Celebrate”

Happy Tuesday everyone!  How has the weather been where you are?  Here in Georgia we have had rain, rain, rain and more rain.  We have a wedding this week-end and it is outside, so here’s to hoping that the weather is good, at least no rain.

It’s that time again for our team blog hop.  Be sure to check out all the blogs, this is a talented group and you will find lots of inspiration.  Our theme for the month is “Celebrate”.  We do have lots to celebrate this month–4 family birthdays, a wedding, Christmas, 3 friends birthdays, one being one of our team member Linda Richenberg.  Enough chatter, let’s get on with the hop!

I have been seeing these one sheet wonders that people are making, and of course, I wondered how many cards can I get out of one 12″ x 12″ piece of DSP, so that is what you are seeing today One Sheet Wonders.  I even have a strip that I didn’t get cards made and will do so later, so I can say I used the entire piece of DSP.

You can see the individual cards at the bottom of the post after the listing of the blog participants.  It was fun making these cards.  I have put the measurement of the DSP used for each card with the card.  You can see the piece I had left after making 11 cards.    Now that I have done this, I have to try it again with a different DSP and different designs.  Many of the design layouts are very similar  but it means I used a larger piece of paper for those cards.

Have fun as you hop on over to visit the rest of the Krew’s blogs and see what a bunch of talented ladies they are. It will be worth your while. Clicking on the  “Next” button will take you to Sue Prather  and the”Previous” button will take you to Karen Ksenzakovic . You can also click on the individual names.

  1. Very cool Shirley! I’m so glad that you’re putting that DSP to good use. Love the designs, thanks for sharing the cutting measurements too! 🙂

  2. I keep thinking I will try a set of One Sheet Wonder cards, but as yet have not done so. Yours have inspired me to try it. Maybe in January to get a head start on next year!

  3. These are great, Shirley. OSW is one of my favorites. I haven’t done them in quite awhile so it might be time to get a head start on next year’s Christmas cards!
