Kindness Makes A Difference

Kindness Makes A Difference

I didn’t realize when I made this card for a kindness done for me that it can be for three different challenges.  After I got it made, I thought I need to make some cards for challenges.  When I went to look at what the challenges were for the week, was I  ever surprised!

Flowers, ribbon, and bird for this one.

Then there is the Viva La Verve Challenge for the week.

The Third One Tic, Tac Toe Challenge 045.  Flowers, Free, Thanks

I am truly amazed at being able to do three.  For me that is unbelievable.

I started with a card base of Tranquil Tide. Then I embossed a 5 x 3-3/4 panel of Whisper White with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.

The Tranquil Tide mat for the Share What You Love art piece is cut 3-3/4 x 3-3/4.  The art piece is cut 3-1/2 x 3-1/2. I adhered the art piece to the Tranquil Tide mat with Liquid Glue and popped it on the Whisper White embossed panel and wrapped a length of Tranquil Tide Finely Woven Ribbon around the panel and secured it on the back with tape.

I then adhered the Whisper White panel to the Tranquil Tide card base.  A greeting from the Blooming With Kindness stamp set was stamped on a Whisper White circle that had been cut using a circle die and a scalloped circle die.  The bird was stamped in Tranquil Tide ink on a scrap of Tranquil Tide cardstock and cut using the die from the Backyard Basic Thinlits Dies. The bird along with flowers that had been cut from the Share What You Love DSP was popped on the circle with the greeting.  Rhinestone embellishments were used on the flower centers, and my usual little heart was placed beside the greeting.

The inside sentiment was stamped using the Petal Palette Stamp Set on a Whisper White panel.  I off-stamped the birds once and then stamped on the panel.

That’s it for today. Visit again.  Have a blessed day!

  1. A three-in-one – well done Shirley, that doesn’t happen to me often! Challenges are such fun though – great for getting us to try new things and push our cardmaking skills to another level, not to mention it gives us the opportunity to discover and share with each other! Your card is just lovely – that floral paper is gorgeous and I love the addition of the bird with all that great layering. Thanks for playing along with my Tic Tac Toe challenge over at The Paper Players this week – hope to see you in our gallery again soon!

  2. Congrats on a “three-fer!” I’m never able to do that! Love the colors and layout ~ it’s a beautiful card. Thanks for sharing over at The Paper Players this week!

  3. Very pretty, I love your little bird as well as your color palette! So happy you played with the Paper Players this week!

    1. LeAnne, I have a daughter-in-love with that name. Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to stop by. Maybe you will have occasion to stop again.

    1. Thank you Amy, yes 3 Challenges are unbelievable for me. Still being a babe at the game, I do good to get one. Thanks for always stopping by to encourage me.

  4. Great job on your card! I love the florals used on the card. I smiled to myself about your comment on meeting criteria for 3 challenges. I think I’ve only managed that once myself – 2 is about my average on challenges. thank you so much for joining us at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge

    1. Thank you Teresa for stopping by with your kind encouraging comments. It has only been about 4-5 months since I started Challenges, so I consider myself still a babe in the woods where they are concerned. Never knew of Challenges until I joined as a demonstrator after 10 years and my wonderful upline and up upline were encouraging to me.
