Beautiful Blooms – Happy Birthday

Beautiful Blooms – Happy Birthday

Happy Thursday!  Seems like it was just yesterday, I was saying Happy Thursday and have a great week-end in just one more day!  It is still gloomy outside, you would think we lived in Seattle, Washington, instead of Georgia with all the rain we have had for the entire month of February.   Spring will be here soon and we will be complaining about it being hot.

Say a prayer for us the next few days if the Lord brings us to mind, my cousin, younger than my youngest son, earned his wings yesterday and is singing with the angels.  It will be a hard time for the family having lost their dad about a year ago in a senseless automobile accident where teenagers were racing and did not see him.

The Lay Out this week is from Stamp, Ink, Paper

Recipe for Card

  1. I used a piece of Kraft paper as my base. Cut at 4-1/4 x 11. Scored at 5-1/2.
  2. The piece of Berry Burst is cut at 3×47/8 for my mat. The mat was embossed using a Retired Stampin Up Embossing Folder. I adhered it to the card base using Tombow Liquid Glue.
  3. The Tempting Turquoise mat for the art piece is cut 3-5/8 x 3. The Basic Black mat that the art piece is attached to is cut 3-5/8x 2-3/4
  4. The art piece is stamped on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using the Beautiful Blooms Stamp Set.
  5. I colored the art piece with Old Olive and Tempting Turquoise Stampin Write Pens. After coloring, I fussy cut it and adhered to the Basic Black mat using Liquid Glue. The Basic Black mat was adhered to the Turquoise mat with Tombow Liquid Glue. I used Stampin Dimensionals to pop the mats with the art piece on the card base.
  6. The sentiment on the front is from the stamp set You’re Inspiring from the Occasions Catalog.
  7. The inside sentiment is from the Beautiful Blooms Stamp Set. I stamped this on a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Cut 3-3/4 x 5. I used two mats for this, a piece of Berry Burst is cardstock cut at 4 x 5-1/4.  The Tempting Turquoise mat is cut 3-3/4 x4-3/4. I adhered it to the card base using Tombow Liquid Glue.

There you have it — a finished card!
