Gift of Knowing You

Gift of Knowing You

Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Card base is Tranquil Tide embossed with the new Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impression Embossing Folder.  Available Sept 5 from the 2018 Holiday Catalog.  I think I am really going to like this embossing folder.

No stamp was used for the art piece.  Usually it is stamp and color the art piece. Not today!  The art piece is a 2 x 3 piece cut from the Share What You Love DSP.

I am using the layout from CAS(E) This Sketch.

The cardstock is Mint Macaron cut in the various sizes. CAS(E) This Sketch did not give sizes, so you can cut the sizes you would like so it matches the sketch.  I cut mine this size.  The small one with green leaves is 1 x 2-1/4 and is from the Share What You Love DSP.  The Mint Macaron mat is cut ΒΌ inch larger making it 1-1/4 x 2-1/2. The larger one is cut 1-3/4 x 3. The mat is cut 2 x 3-1/4.

The middle piece is also from the Share What You Love DSP just a different piece.  It is cut 2 x 3.  The Mint Macaron mat is cut 2-1/4 x 3-1/4.  I fussy cut extra flowers and popped them over the panel with flowers.

The inside sentiment is from the Thankful Thoughts Stamp Set.

Have a blessed day! I hope that you found some inspiration for your cards, scrapbooking or whatever project you may do as I have from the many talented people whose blogs I have visited.  I hope you will visit again.

Best Book Ever

Best Book Ever

My back-to-school card is the best.  Everyone loves to read a good book.  This is for all the readers out there who think the book they just read is the best.  Most schools still have required reading list.  Many students will realize these are the best after they have read them.  I still remember all the classics from high school.  My inspiration comes from the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge 451

Card recipe:

  1. Whisper White cardstock for the base. Cut 4-1/4 x 11. Scored at 5-1/2.
  2. Real Red cardstock 4 x 5-1/4 panel. Embossed using the brick embossing folder retired.  You can use any of the embossing folders to add texture.
  3. Balmy Blue cardstock  cut 3-1/2 x 3-1/2. Embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder, page 223 of current catalog.
  4. Whisper White cardstock cut 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 is used for the art piece.
  5. The art piece is a stamp from Power Poppy as is the inside sentiment. The Real Red panel is adhered to the Whisper White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The Balmy Blue panel is popped on the red panel and the Whisper White art panel is also popped on using Stampin Dimensionals. The ABC’s is die cut using Real Red and Whisper White scraps using the now retired Framelits Dies from Stampin Up.The inside sentiment is stamped using Blueberry Bushel on a Whisper White panel that has had the corner decorated with a corner punch.

Have a blessed day!

Can you believe it is that time again?  Thank you for joining us today for another fantastic blog hop. The theme this month is “Fall Frenzy”. I’ve chosen the Blended Season’s stamp set to use today.  It is a great stamp set.  It is available until August 31.  I also used the Postcard Pals stamp set for the sentiment.

I started with a base of Blueberry Bushel. Cut 4-1/4 x 11 and scored at 5-1/2.  I then chose a panel of So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  I stamped the art piece using the Blended Seasons Stamp Set.

I colored the art piece with Stampin Up Watercolor Pencils and used an Aqua Painter to smooth the coloring out along with a Blender Pen.  I fussy cut some of the leaves and popped them on using Stamping Dimensionals.  The front greeting is an old Verve stamp, I think.

For the inside sentiment panel, I also stamps some leaves and colored again with the Watercolor Pencils.  The sentiment is from Postcard Pals.  The sentiment panel was adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Cards for Christmas

Cards for Christmas

Ever had one of those days “Where do I start?”   Your mind is going faster than you can work it out!  I’ve had several of those lately with this vision problem, coming and going.

I believe there are two or three challenges I can enter these cards in.

For the first card with the Christmas ornaments, I will play along with Word Art Wednesday Challenge

For the second card with the Three Trees I will play along with the Global Design Project

The first card, I started with a Real Red card base and layered a panel of Whisper White that I had embossed using the Holly Textured Embossing Folder that is now retired.  You could use any embossing folder of your choice.  I only embossed a portion of the card so I would have room for a greeting on the side.

I cut a strip of Pacific Point cardstock and die cut it using an Edgelits Die from Stampin Up.  I adhered this to the edge of the Whisper White panel.  Over the Holly embossed portion of the panel I adhered the stripe of ornaments, I had cut using the die or it and running it through the Big Shot.  Again, someone gave me this in a box of Stampin Up stamps, so not being in an envelope or case, I do not know the name or the maker of it.

For the inside sentiment, I also die cut a strip of Pacific Point with the Lace Edgelits and adhered to the Whisper White panel for the sentiment.  I did this on both sides as I put a sentiment on both inside panels.  The stamps I used for the greeting are from my box of free stamps, so have no idea the maker.  Could be Stampin Up as I have a stamp set from Stampin Up with the Three Wise Men.

Second Card- A base of Whisper White Cut 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2.  Over this I adhered a panel from the Twinkle Twinkle DSP cut 4 x 3-1/2.  I cut a stripe of Whisper White and made it look like snow banks on one side.

I adhered this to the Twinkle Twinkle DSP.  As my Winter Woods Stamp Set from 2018 Holiday Catalog has not arrived, I used an old die for the trees.  I popped  these over the Twinkle Twinkle DSP using Stamping Dimensionals and Mini Stampin Dimensionals. The Merry Christmas is from the Blended Seasons Stamps set (available until August 31, so get this set while you can, it is a very versatile stamp set.)

The inside panel for the sentiment is bordered with a strip of the Twinkle Twinkle DSP.  The white panel is die cut with the Delicate Lace Edgelits.  I listed the Winter Woods Stamp Bundle for the trees and the tree die I used is no longer available and there is a tree die in the Winter Woods Stamp Bundle.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you liked my cards.

Beach For You

Beach For You

My sweet little card today could be a Birthday, Encouragement, even a Father’s Day card, all you  have to do is write your own Happy  Birthday,  Love You, Happy Father’s Day.  It is a young boy and his dad sitting on the beach looking out at the ocean.  How sweet!

I used Whisper White and Blueberry Bushel cardstock.  The stamp set is a 2003 Stampin Up set.  Do not know the name someone gave me a bunch of stamps in a box.

This is the inside of the card.

Inspirations for my card comes from CAS(E) This Sketch, Just Us Girls and Creative With Stamps.  You can click on their links by clicking on each Challenge or click on the icon at the bottom.
