Love and Happiness

Love and Happiness

I think this is a cute card with the dandelions.

My inspiration for this card comes from the TGIF Challenges

The first card I made I goofed up.  I stamped the greeting in Memento black ink and it did not show up on the dark blue, when I tried to correct it, I ruined the card, so I had to make another one.

I decided to heat emboss this time using White Embossing Powder.  I had watercolored several pieces of paper and each was different, but there was another one that was blue so I ended up using it.  I am pleased with the way it looks as it looks like sky and grass.

After the watercolor piece had dried real well I then stamped using the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set and Memento Black Ink. . I saw TGIF Challenge  and knew that their challenge would solve the problem of what to do so the greeting would show up this time and I would not end up ruining another card.   I stamped the greeting using Versa Mark, then White Embossing Powder and heat embossed it.

I stamped the inside panel again using the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set.  The sentiment is from Verve Stamps.  I like a lot of their sentiments.

That’s it for today, hope you enjoy seeing my card.

Courage

Courage

If this comes through twice, forgive me this one time any way.

I made this card special for my sister who is a breast cancer survivor.  You never think your youngest sister would get something so dreadful and it pass you by.  She is a special lady, always taking care of others first.  She took care of our mother for 20 years before Mother passed away last September.  She needs an award for just that.

My inspiration for today’s card is from the CAS(E) this sketch Challenge. You can check out all the cards just click on the link.

I started with a card base of Blushing Bride.  I cut a 5-1/4 x 4 Whisper White panel and embossed using a retired Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  I stamped the images using Memento Black Ink on a panel of  Whisper White and then colored using Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzazz Stampin Write Markers. After coloring, I popped all on the embossed Polka Dot panel. I then popped the Polka Dot panel onto the Blushing Bride card base.

The inside sentiment is also from the Ribbons of Courage stamp set.  If you would like more information about creating this card or any of the others on thus blog, please contact me and I will be happy to help.

That’s it for today!

Wishing You all the Best

Love the way this card turned out.  It is so cool and clean looking, I suppose from the Whisper White card base and the Highland Heather colored flowers makes for a cool looking card.

I decided to play along with The Sisterhood of Crafters.

I started with a Whisper White card base. I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and embossed it using the Pinewood Plank Embossing Folder.  Using one of the dies from the Blended Seasons Stamp Set Bundle, I cut the panel from the embossed panel.  I had in the meantime, cut a plain panel from a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I cut leaves using Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White cardstock, again I used one of the dies from the Blended Seasons Stamp Bundle. A stamp bundle includes not only the stamps but the dies for cutting out the stamped image. With this bundle you also got the new watercolor pencils.

I stamped the flower images on Whisper White cardstock, colored with the Highland Heather Stampin Write Markers and used an Aqua Pen to add water to make the flowers the colored I was wanting.  I then fussy cut all the flowers out.   I also stamped and colored flowers for the inside sentiment panel but did not include a sentiment at-this-time.

I wrapped a length of Mini Striped Ribbon around the Pinewood  Plank Embossed Panel, adhering it on the back with tape.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my card today.  Visit again!

Touches of Texture

Touches of Texture

I have a card to show you today using the stamp set Touches of Texture.  I liked this stamp set when I saw it in last year’s catalog, but kept putting off buying it.  I finally got it when it appeared in this year’s catalog.

I decided to play along with two challenges. The Paper Players and Inkspire_me Challenge

Love the colors and the layout of these challenges.  They go together so well.

I started with a card base of Highland Heather. 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 5-1/2. Using Versa Mark Ink, I stamped the front of the card base.

Whisper White mat cut 2-1/2 x 5-1/4. Stamped using one of the background stamps from the Touch of Textures Stamp Set and Highland Heather Stampin Write Marker.  After stamping wrapped a length of Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon around the edge, leaving half of it off the edge.  Adhered to the Highland Heather card base.

Cut the 2 ½ and the 3 ½ squares for the art piece using the Layering Square Framelits Dies.  I stamped the flowers from the Touches of Textures Stamp Set using Memento Black Ink. I colored the flowers using Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green, and Highland Heather Stampin Write Markers.  I popped both squares on the matted front with Stampin Dimensionals.

I used one of the background stamps to also make a border around the inside sentiment panel.  The sentiment is from the Postcard Pals Stamp Set.

That’s all for today.  Hope you enjoy my card.

Shining Star

Shining Star

A cute little card today made using the Little Twinkle Stamp Set.

I decided to play along with the Global Design Project

I started with a card base using Night of Navy Cardstock.  I adhered a panel from the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP  cut 5-1/4 x 4. I then cut another panel from the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 and popped it on top of the first DSP mat.  Before I popped the 3 -3/4 x 3-3/4 mat, I added three squares cut 1-1/2 x 1-1/2. These were popped onto the 3-3/4 mat.  I decorated each square using designs cut from a piece of the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP. These designed were adhered to the 1-1/2 squares.  I used a few of the Twinkle Adhesive Backed Sequins on each square.

I wrapped a length of the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around the card and adhered it on the back with tape.  I then wrapped a length of the Petal Pink Metallic Ribbon over the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon. I made a small bow and attached it with a glue dot.

The inside sentiment is also from the Little Twinkle Stamp Set.  I stamped a sentiment on each panel of the card.

That’s it for today.  Hope you enjoy! Visit again.
