Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day

Two days until Easter and here I am making Mother’s Day cards.  For other people of course, as I lost my Mother last year.  There are still a lot of other mothers that I can make cards for.

My design is from The Paper Player Sketch Challenge 386.

I used the colored Berry Burst and Pear Pizzazz.  They are bright cheery colors for Mothers.

My card is the standard 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.

The mat is 4 x 5 cut from Whisper White.  This is embossed with the Layered Leaves TEIF.

I cut a circle from Berry Burst cardstock using a circle die.  The art piece is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set.  I colored the art piece using Berry Burst and Pear Pizzazz Stampin Write Markers.   I fussy cut this and popped it on the circle.

The greeting on the front is from the March Paper Pumpkin as is the sentiment inside. I used the Berry Burst Stamp Pad to stamp the greeting and the inside sentiment.  I used one of the embellishment from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit on the inside sentiment.

That’s my card for today.  Come again another day!

HAPPY EASTER, HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY, HAPPY PASSOVER!

Spring Flowers

Spring Flowers

Can you believe it is 3 days until Easter.  I remember Easter as a child.  It was always so much fun.  My Granny always made me a new dress.  You always got a new dress and shoes for Easter.  Usually, white patten leather, do they even make those any more?  Everyone dressed up in their finest clothes to go to church on Easter morning,  now people wear whatever.  Guess I am guilty of that also.

My design for today is from this week’s Just Us Girls challenge.  This is Photo Week #433 Challenge.

This is directions for you to make the card. Start with a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock.

Add a mat cut from Tranquil Tide cardstock and emboss with the Basket Weaver TEIF.  Cut a 4×4 mat from Melon Mambo cardstock for the art piece.  Using the Flying Home Stamp set and Memento Basic Black Ink stamp the art piece on  Whisper White cardstock cut 3-3/4 x 3-3/4.

Color the art piece using Soft Sky, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, and Daffodil Delight Stampin Write Markers and a Blender Pen.  Wind three strands of Linen Thread around the art piece securing the thread with a glue dot on the back of the art piece. Make a tiny bow using the Linen Thread and adhere it to the art piece just under the birdhouse.  Adhere this to the Melon Mambo mat and pop it on the Tranquil Tide mat.

The happy birthday is from the Teeny Tiny Expression Stamp Set, stamped in Tranquil Tide on a scrap of paper and then punched out using a small paper punch for greetings.  Use the die from the Petal Palette Stamp Set Bundle to die cut the embellishment piece for the happy birthday.

The inside sentiment is from the Balloon Adventure Stamp Set.  The artwork is from the Flying Home Stamp Set. Cut a mat 4 x 5 using Tranquil Tide cardstock.  Adhere this to the card base using liquid glue.  Stamp the sentiment using a Tranquil Tide  Classic Stampin Pad for the ink.  Color the artwork using Soft Sky, Melon Mambo, and Old Olive  Stampin Write Markers and a Blender Pen.  Adhere this to the Tranquil Tide mat.

That’s it! Finished.

Hope you enjoy making it as much as I did!

Delightful Daisy Thinking of You

Delightful Daisy Thinking of You

This is my design for the day.

This was a super easy card today.  I started with a card base of Tranquil Tide cardstock cut at 5-1/2 x 8-1/2.  I scored at 4-1/4.  I then added a mat from Pool Party cardstock. I cut it at 5×3-1/2. I adhered to the card base with liquid glue.

The art piece is a piece of Delightful Daisy DSP cut  3-1/4×4-1/4.  I popped it on the Pool Party mat, adding a Tranquil Tide ribbon and a daisy.  The is from the Teeny Tiny Stamp set.

The inside sentiment is from the Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts stamp set.  I stamped it in Tranquil Tide using the Tranquil Tide Stampin Pad.  I fussy cut a bunch of the flowers from the Delightful Daisy DSP and adhered it to the right corner with liquid glue.

Sale-A-Bration ends March 31, so you have a few more days to stock up on the extras you get for buying during Sale-A-Bration.

Old Green Truck Rust covered

Old Green Truck Rust covered

This is my green card for the Cas-ual Friday Challenge.  It is green week.  I hope you like it and my green.  I thought why not an old green truck with some trees and weeds.

Here is my card:

I started with an Old Olive card base, which is green, I cut it 4-1/2 x 11, scoring at 5-1/2. I then cut a mat from Mossy Meadow, which is a darker green.  It is cut 4×5-1/4.  I embossed the mat using the Splattered Circle Embossing Folder.

I cut the art piece 3-1/2 x 4 from a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the old truck image in Memento Black Ink using the stamp set Country Living.  I stamped the greeting on the front from the stamp set Vertical Greetings.  The trees on the art piece are from the stamp set Lovely As A Tree.  I stamped it in Memento Black Ink.

Notice the first picture above. It has an Old Olive card base and a Mossy Meadow mat.  This one has a Mossy Meadow card base and an Olive Olive mat.  I could not decide which looked the best so I made one of each.

I colored the truck using Olive Green, Pear Pizzazz, Smokey Slate, and Crumb Cake Classic Stampin Pads and my blender pens.   I used Sponge Daubers and Stamping Sponges to color the grass.  I also used the Sponge Daubers and Stamping Sponges to color the sky using Pool Party and Tranquil Tide Classic Stampin Pads.

I didn’t want a bow so I added three strands of linen thread around the front of the card below the truck.

The inside sentiment is from the stamp set Petal Palette.  I stamped this on a 4×5 piece of Whisper White card stock that has been colored using the Old Olive Classic Stampin Pad and Stamping Sponges.  I stamped the Lovely As A Tree image by stamping off twice and then stamping it on the piece of cardstock.

Some added images.

Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary

I made this for one of my Stampin Up friends and hope that it has been received by now so she won’t see it for the first time on here.

My card today is made from products from the Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Brations catalog.

I started with one of the cards from the Tutti Frutti card pack, FREE with a $50 purchase from the Annual or Occasions catalog.  I then cut a piece of the Petal Passion DSP from the Occasions catalog. Cut 4 x 5-1/4.  I colored it using my Stampin Write Pens. I cut the piece at an angle and used both pieces on the card, leaving a  space between the two pieces.  I cut the word CELEBRATE using another Sale-A-Bration product, which is FREE with a $100 product purchase from either the Occasions or Annual catalog.

I cut the flower from a scrap of Daffodil Delight cardstock and the leaves were cut from Old Olive cardstock.  I adhered these to the front using Stampin dimensionals.  I used liquid glue to adhere the word CELEBRATE to the card.

The inside sentiment is stamped using Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock cut at 4 x 5.  I matted it on another piece of the Petal Passion DSP, adhering it to the inside of the card using liquid glue.

I  visited Samford University today with my granddaughter.  They have a great school of dance and that is what she is thinking of choosing as a career.  She has danced since she was three.  She is a beautiful dancer, would you not agree with me.

We have let you know some of the challenges we’re experiencing in maintaining an adequate supply of Stampin’ Blends. Extremely long lead times with our supplier, combined with an unexpected increase in demand, has caused many of our current 27-color offering to go on backorder. You’re probably already aware of the increasing backorders and low-inventory alerts for many of our Stampin’ Blends.

At this time, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to make our entire Stampin’ Blends product line unorderable until approximately the end of May. This is not a decision we came to lightly; but with backorders only likely to get worse in the coming weeks, it is in the best interest of the company to temporarily make them unavailable.

Stampin’ Blends will be made unorderable beginning Friday, March 23, noon (MT).

We will keep you posted on the availability of Stampin’ Blends as we learn more.  If you want to order before the deadline click on the picture above and you can order from my online store or click here

If you need any stamping supplies, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator. Just click on the Order Stampin’ Up! Online to go directly to my online store or drop me an email if you have any questions. Happy Stamping!
