AMY’S INKIN’ KREW APRIL 2024 BLOG HOP

AMY’S INKIN’ KREW APRIL 2024 BLOG HOP

Welcome! It that time, the 2nd Tuesday of the month  you have been waiting for with excitement, a fun team blog hop from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.  The theme this month is “for the ladies/girls” and you can interpret that any way that you’d like and use any products that you’d like for your project. You are in for a treat seeing all the talent these ladies present to you. Sit back with your favorite beverage and enjoy.  You will see cards that will  inspire you to get creative as you jump from blog to blog.

My card I am sharing today is created using a card from Sweet Thoughts Memories and More Card Pack, Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set for the greeting, Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises stamp set for the sentiment inside the card.

The card base is a card from Sweet Thoughts Memories and More Cards & Envelope pack.  The Pretty Peacock one is used.  One of the large butterflies with flowers is used as the card focal point.  All the flowers on the butterfly are covered with Wink of Stella to give it some glitz and sparkle, but I do not know how well it shows up.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set (retiring soon) .  A few sequins from  Adhesive Backed Sequin Trio are popped around the card front.

The sentiments from Stampin’ Up!  Beach Day stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises stamp set is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on a panel of Basic White cardstock.  Flowers are fussy cut from one of the cards from Sweet Thoughts Memories and More Card Pack and adhered across the bottom of the panel.

An envelope from Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards & Envelopes is used instead of a Basic White that is always decorated on the envelope flap.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, now that you’ve seen my card, I hope you’ll take a little time to jump thru all the other projects we have to share. Stampin’ Up! Coffee With Friends — Enjoy Your Day

Stampin’ Up! Coffee With Friends — Enjoy Your Day

Kind of been under the weather the past few days and just did not have the energy to even make a card.  It was a chore to just walk across the floor.  Haven’t had one of these in a while.  It is so irritating when it happens.  All I can do is lie down until it passes.  Lasted longer this time, but much better now. Have you enjoyed my tale of Whoa!?😁

My card today is created using Stampin’ Up! Coffee With Friends stamp set.  I also used one of the wood trees from March 2024 Paper Pumpkin and a piece of one of the cards.  I believe these cards in this Paper Pumpkin coordinate well with Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper.

My challenge for this card is Krafty Chicks Challenge.    I just finished as Guest Designer there for the month of March.  It was quiet an experience.  Makes me appreciate with lot of admiration for the ones that are in charge of Challenges.

Ellibelle’s  Crafty Wednesday –  April Challenge

My card base is Highland Heather cardstock with a layer of Gorgeous Grape as a mat for the piece of the card from the March Paper Pumpkin that I used.  The Paper Pumpkin piece was trimmed and adhered to the Gorgeous Grape cardstock mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue

A wood tree from the Paper Pumpkin is colored with Granny Apple Green ink and a Blending Brush.  I was a bit afraid to use my Blends because it being wood, I thought it might ruin the tip of the pen.  I find that just coloring a rhinestone or pearl fuzzies up the tip.  The Paper Pumpkin piece was trimmed and adhered to the Gorgeous Grape cardstock mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

An image from Stampin’ Up! Coffee With Friends stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  It is colored using Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.  The image is then fussy cut and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Adhesive Backed Dragon Flies and Birds are popped around the card front.

The sentiments from Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Lazy Days stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  A scrap from Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper is adhered down the left side of the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

An envelope from the March Paper Pumpkin is used as the envelope instead of decorating the flap of a Basic White envelope.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Cards

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Cards

Thank you to each and every person who sent me a birthday card.  Each one means so much to me, you will never know.  Thank you for making me feel so special with all the cards.

These are some of the birthday cards I received.  I have grouped them in fours.  If you don’t see your card, it probably hasn’t arrived.  I received cards today that were dated two weeks ago.  It could even be like the cards I sent my sisters in November.  I received one back two weeks ago and the other one three.  They were undeliverable according to the sticker on the envelope.  No such address, but the addresses were correct.

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions — Hello

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions — Hello

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expression stamp set and Dies.  This card is a fun fold and a CAS of Terri Gaines.  Click her name and you can see her video for this card. My card is not the one in her video.  The images of how to cut and what to cut show Gorgeous Grape cardstock not the Pretty Peacock cardstock for the finished card.  I made two cards with Pretty Peacock and forgot to take photos as I went.  I made the first then realized I had not taken photos so I made a second, but it was a repeat, so I started a third with Gorgeous Grape cardstock that I had die cut.  Success this time.

Challenge I am joining

Creative Creases Challenge

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Start with

As the front is embossed but a piece of cardstock the size of the card front and die cut both at the same time as the embossed panel will be adhered over the card base.

This is how it looks once you have die cut the front and the panel.

Die cut the panel for the card front using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.  Adhere the panel to the card base with your favorite adhesive.

This is how the card front looks once the embossed panel is adhered.

Pieces to cut — I used dies from Thoughtful Expressions Dies.

  • Largest die — 1 panel, it is the same as the one used to die cut the window on the card front. Pretty Peacock and Highland Heather are shown above as Panel 1.  I used Lost Lagoon as you will see later in the post.  Panel #1
  • Second largest die —  5 panels of Pretty Peacock — Gorgeous Grape shown above.  Panel #2
  • Third largest die  2 panels of Basic White and 3 of Designer Series Paper.  Panel #3
  • Designer Series Paper — extended arm or branch (I don’t know what to call it) for adhering die cuts — 2-1/2″ x 12″  scoring at 4″ & 8″

This is a photo showing all the pieces needed for creating the card.  I used Lost Lagoon as my base die as you can see in the photo below.  On the card shown in this post, I use Lost Lagoon cardstock as the base piece.

With the card closed adhere the largest die cut label through the window cut in card front to the inside back of the card using adhesive of choice, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Make sure it is snug and in place.

The 2-3/8″ x 12″ strip is scored at 4″ and 8″. Fold the right side in to the middle and the left over the right. Using adhesive of choice, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue adhere the piece over the largest die. In this photo it is the Lost Lagoon label in the middle of the card.  Front panel does not line up in middle of window, that is the way it is suppose to be.

Close right extended arm piece over the middle and adhere a #2 panel which is Pretty Peacock.  Make sure adhesive to adhere is only on the arm piece if you put it all over the #2 piece it will adhere to the piece behind it and you will be unable to open.

Open it out after adhere the piece and adhere a #2 piece over the one on the other side. Again, being sure you only put adhesive on the extended arm piece.

Now, close the left side extended arm over the middle and repeat the same as you did for the right side. Using the Pretty Peacock pieces.

It is time to adhere the #3 pieces and the two sentiments which you will stamp on the two Basic White pieces.  You can stamp any sentiment you choose that will fit the two pieces.  My two come from Stampin’ Up! Wild Ferns stamp set and Stampin’ Up! So Sincere stamp set.

Stamp the humming bird image from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set in Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock, die cut using the coordinating die from Thoughtful Expressions Dies.  Color using Berry Burst and Pretty Peacock ink and Blender Pens and a Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker.  Adhere to card front.  Pop Adhesive Back Dragonflies and Birds around the card front and through out the card.  Stamp the greeting hello in Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock, fussy cut, adhere to a scrap of Pretty Peacock, fussy cut, and adhere to card front as shown in the photo above.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of  Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
